This is the worst named Pay-Per-View in a long times. Like seriously.

Roadblock as a pay-per-view between Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania at least made a little bit of sense. It was like the Roadblock on the Road to Wrestlemania or something… but this? What is it the Roadblock to exactly? Also is the End of the Line subtitle really necessary?

God wrestling is stupid sometimes.

MATCH 1: Big Cass vs. Rusev

BIG CASS – His best friend is a horny little loud mouth who always seems to get himself in trouble and than Cass has to save him … so … He’s kinda like Silent Bob but with Muscles.

RUSEV – He’s from Russia. People harass him and his wife for being foreign and constantly are sexually harassing his wife but because this is wrestling he’s a bad guy. If you’re not sure why consult the first three words I used to describe him.

WHO WILL WIN:
Matt – Cass is going to win but it should be Rusev. It should be Rusev because he’s amazing, under utilized and honestly is in the right. Enzo was basically kinda sorta definitely sexually assaulting Lana. But this is WWE and as far as I know Vince is still madly in love with Big Cass so I see a big push for Big Cass.

Derek –  I love both of these guys, but Cass is taking this one. Seeing his pal Ezbo get absolutely crushed by Rusev over the past few weeks has to have made him angry. Rusev has made short work of Enzo, but I can’t imagine that he’ll have an easy time with the Seven Footer. Simply wanting to stand up for his friend should give him enough of a push to resist the Accolade and come out on top.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT:
Matt – I think this is a set-up to test the waters of a bigger Big Cass singles push honestly. That’s probably not a bad idea really. Enzo is great on the mic but in general nothing special in the ring. Having him take a more manager role to Big Cass would only be a good thing for both of them.

Additionally Rusev could probably do better if he gets away from the constantly defending his wife from sexual abuse storylines. Maybe have him challenge Owens for the Universal Title. I could super be into a Rusev vs. Owens match.

Derek – I think that this is just the beginning for this particular rivalry. Rusev will lose and it’ll set him off, and then we’ll get to see the crazy, incredibly angry Rusev that we all know and love.

MATCH 2: Rich Swann vs. T.J. Perkins vs. The Brian Kendrick

Rich Swann – Current Cruiserweight Champion. He’s into singing and dancing and fighting.

T.J. Perkins – He likes video games and also fighting

The Brian Kendrick – He likes fighting

WHO WILL WIN:

Matt – Rich Swann. This one is easy. Unless you’ve done something really truly awful it’s rare that they pull the belt off you on your first title defense.

Derek –  A triple-threat Cruiserweight Title match? We’re in for a freaking treat! Rich Swann winning the title in the first place (so soon after Kendrick took it) was a huge surprise. I absolutely love Swann’s demeanour in the ring, and I’d love to see him hold onto this belt for awhile longer. That said, Kendrick simply did not hold onto the title for long enough, and I really see him taking the belt back during the match.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT:

Matt – Rich is going to hold the belt for a while. He’s everything the Cruiserweight division should be. The only real issue is that WWE doesn’t know how to build good characters sometimes. Rich Swann should be more than happy and smiling. Regardless he’s going to hold the belt until Austin Aries is ready for it. Kendrick I think will slowly fade away into a comfortable legends contract with WWE and Perkins will probably turn into one of the main heels in 205 Live.

Derek – Kalisto needs to move over. The dude flips like no-other, and would really bring something to 205 Liveor the Cruiserweight Division, instead of being way underused on Smackdown.

MATCH 3: New Day vs. Sheamus and Cesaro

The New Day – The longest reigning Tag Team Champions ever, it’s pretty impressive

Sheamus and Cesaro – They were forced to be a tag team and they just kinda agreed for some reason.

WHO WILL WIN:
Matt – There is no reason for New Day to keep holding the belts. Literally none. Honestly they should have lost the belts after Summerslam; but WWE has an issue with spite sometimes. Demolition had the record, but they also have a lawsuit against WWE… with the New Day already pretty close to the record it was a given that they would break that record and middle finger to all things Demolition. Sheamus and Cesaro should win this. Honestly them or The Club should have won this a long time ago. Both of those teams have lost so many times that they have no momentum. But there’s honestly no longer a reason for us to care about New Day and their title reign. Get those belts off them and let’s build to a new Tag Team’s chance.

Derek – This is it for The New Day’s incredible, incredibly entertaining title reign. They’ve now officially become the longest-reigning Tag Champs of all time, and now that they’ve passed The Demolition’s record, they’re losing this match to… Sheamus and Cesaro. I don’t really like Sheamus or Cesaro as singular competitors, let alone as a tag team, so it’ll definitely be disappointing to see this one come to a close.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT:
Matt – New Day will get a shot or two at getting the belts back but they will continue to entertain in delight. I could see them doing more singles matches and the New Day becoming more of a group of supportive friends.

Cesaro and Sheamus will hold the belts for a while before imploding and The Club finally getting the belts and maybe actually getting a chance to be a threat (hey Smackdown has done it with the Wyatts pretty well).

Derek – Hopefully, the next day The New Day will become three time champs.

MATCH 4: Sami Zayn vs. Braun Strowman

SAMI ZAYN – Ska! The Wrestler

BRAUN STROWMAN – If The Bumble took up wrestling

WHO WILL WIN:
Matt – Remember that scene in Revenge of the Nerds when Ogre has to arm wrestle the one girl from Omega Mu and she gives him a run for his money? Then at the end Ogre wins but starts crying? That’s how I want this match to play out. I want Sami to just wreck havoc on Braun. Give him the match of his life and Braun just barely gets the win. But he gets the win with hurt pride.

Derek – After all of the squash matches, and all of the build-up, and all of the angry Strowman yelling about a real challenge. Sami was essentially squashed himself by Strowman recently, and I think this match is where the underdog from the underground really shows off the incredible heart that’s inside him, and somehow manages to last the entire 10 minutes. I don’t know how it’s going to happen, but I’m sure it’s set to be entertaining as hell.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT:

Matt – Braun continues to be a dangerous force. He will get eliminated at the Rumble by Sami Zayn (most likely) to set up another big match for them at Wrestlemania (unless the rumor of Sami being in the title picture very shortly is true… than nevermind what I say).

Derek – If Kevin Owens retains the title, and Sami Zayn can stand up to Strowman, can we please give Sami a Universal Title push?

MATCH 5: Seth Rollins vs. Chris Jericho

SETH ROLLINS – He was a bad guy, now he’s a good guy

CHRIS JERICHO – He was a bad guy, he still kinda is but he hates his best friend Owens who’s also a bad guy so maybe he’s on the route of becoming a good guy?

WHO WILL WIN:
Matt – Seth Rollins wins this match. There’s not even part of me that questions it. Owens will probably get involved. Probably with the intention of helping Jericho but instead only making the situation worse leading to a Jericho/Owens match at the Rumble.

Derek – This is one rivalry that I haven’t really had the pleasure of following over the past few weeks. “Sparkle Crotch” was a pretty hilarious moment, and seeing Seth take Jericho’s list really put me on Jericho’s side of this one. I do feel like Seth has been criminally undervalued since his return, and I think that will continue, with Jericho taking the win this time around.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT:
Matt – Jericho will be leaving soon and Rollins will get a match against Triple H. The question is, does Triple H show up in the next few weeks and it builds to a Royal Rumble match or does Triple H show up at the Rumble and eliminates Rollins to build the wrestlemania match? I’m going to assume the latter.

Derek –  I just want to see Jericho have a giant feud with Kevin Owens. These former best friends need to become worst enemies.

MATCH 6: Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte Flair

SASHA BANKS – She’s the Bo$$ and constantly beating Charlotte … unless it’s a Pay-Per-View

CHARLOTTE – Ric Flair’s daughter, she has never been pinned on a pay-per-view

WHO WILL WIN:
Matt – I think that with the 30-Minute Iron Women match there’s two possibilities. I think either scenario Sasha leaves still as champion, but I believe that it either ends in a tie or Sasha gets Charlotte to tap a bunch but in the last few seconds she manages to pin Charlotte winning the match.

Derek –  I’m unbelievably excited for this one. The ongoing (essentially forever) feud between Sasha and Charlotte has been incredibly entertaining, and seeing the rivals take part in a 30-minute Iron Man match has a great chance of being Match-Of-The-Night.

That said, it seems as though every time these two face each other, the title changes hands. Sasha won the title a few weeks back in brutal fashion, so this time, Charlotte takes it.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT:

Matt – I think that this really is the final Sasha/Charlotte match… at least for a while. We’re about to hop on the road to wrestlemania and I have a feeling by March Sasha will be uber heel in order for Baylee to get the next big push in the women’s division. Charlotte has some unfinished business with Dana and I forsee Dana getting involved in a match (if not this pay-per-view definitely Royal Rumble) to retrigger that feud (speaking of which where the fuck has Dana Brooke been?)

Derek – Bayley… Please give Bayley a shot at the title.

MATCH 7: Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns

KEVIN OWENS – He’s big, mean and an absolute delight. People love him.

ROMAN REIGNS – He’s big, cheesy and a decent enough wrestler. People Hate Him.

WHO WILL WIN
Matt – Kevin Owens. I can’t see them having Roman Reigns carry the Universal Title and US Title just a little over a year since Seth Rollins did the same thing with John Cena. That being said, Owens isn’t gonna win clean… something is going to happen. What I don’t know just yet. Maybe Rusev or whoever is going to be challenging Reigns next for the title… perhaps a surprise Finn Balor return?

Derek – I’ll probably get booed for admitting it, but I’m a Reigns fan. I fell for the guy last year when I first started watching WWE, and to this day don’t understand all of the hate that he constantly receives. I also really enjoy Kevin Owens, and as much as I’d love to see Reigns take the Universal Championship… there’s no way in hell that the company lets it happen. Owens takes this one for sure.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT:

Matt – Reigns will get back to where he belongs… defending the US Title. He’ll probably have a few softballs against Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel and Titus O’Neil. I don’t know who will actually win that title until the next NXT call ups. As for Kevin Owens I think we are building to a giant Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens Wrestlemania event and I can’t wait for that.

Derek – I’m not sure what’s next for Reigns, but I just want to see Jericho and KO fight forever.

Last week we saw three character profile videos released for Jon Chu’s G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and Paramount has unveiled another three. This time around the action-packed videos focuse on the Joe’s Snake Eyes, Jinx and Roadblock.

In this sequel, the G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy, Cobra, they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence. The film stars D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Adrianne Palicki, Ray Park, Jonathan Pryce, RZA, Ray Stevenson, Channing Tatum with Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson. Directed by Jon M. Chu, and produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Brian Goldner, written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick based on Hasbro’s G.I. Joe® characters.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation strikes on March 29th, 2013

Paramount has released two more brand new clips from Jon Chu’s G.I. Joe: Retaliation. The first clip sees Dwayne Johnson as Roadblock, who is well known for his rhymes, reciting some lyrics from a Jay-Z track. The second clip is more action-packed and features a segment from a cliffside battle between Snake Eyes, Jinx and a group of ninjas. Check them both out below.

Framed for crimes against the country, the G.I. Joe team is terminated by the President’s order, and the surviving team members face off against Zartan, his accomplices, and the world leaders he has under his influence.

Veteran dance-film director Jon Chu takes a crack at G.I. Joe in this sequel to Stephen Sommers’ blockbuster 2009 film. Dwayne Johnson stars as Roadblock in the sequel, with Channing Tatum returning as Duke, the leader of the Joes, and Ray Park joining them as mute ninja Snake Eyes. Bruce Willis, Ray Stevenson, Adrianne Palicki, Jonathan Pryce, Lee Byung-hun, Elodie Yung, and RZA co-star.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation strikes on March 29, 2013.

This is news that is sure to disappoint fans of the 80’s cartoon series. During a recent interview with The Score’s Arda Ocal, former WWF Champion Sgt. Slaughter filled us in on how a conflict between two toy companies prevented him from making a cameo in both GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra and GI Joe: Retaliation.

Robert Remus aka Sgt. Slaughter has the unique honor of being the first GI Joe figure that is actually based on a real life person. While the backstory is for the most part fabricated, the likeness is of the sarge. His character appeared in six episodes of the original 1980’s Sunbow cartoon, two of the Marvel comic books, and GI Joe: The Movie. I’m pretty sure him having a cameo in the movie would have definitely pleased many die-hard fans.

Now while the movie has been pushed back it doesn’t mean they aren’t going to keep promoting it. You will most likely see these above display cases in Hasbro’s area at San Diego Comic-Con next week but we have a first glimpse at them including a first look at RZA as Blind Master.

A follow-up to the 2009 release of G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra, which grossed over $300M worldwide, Paramount Pictures, MGM and Skydance Productions, in association with Hasbro and di Bonaventura Pictures, commences production on G.I. Joe: Retaliation. In this sequel, the G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence.

‘GI Joe: Retaliation’ strikes theaters March 2013.

Now i’m sure by now you’ve heard that film has been pushed back to next year but that doesn’t mean Paramount isn’t going to keep pushing the film. Courtesy of ICG Magazine we have some new stills from ‘GI Joe: Retaliation’ including a few behind the scenes ones.
