This Week:

Shane is out so we talk about Rick and Morty.  Courtney is more awkward than usual, renews her hate for PETA, and plays the same two games she always plays (Skyrim and Overwatch). She’s still waiting for her PS4 controller. Derek has a new found hate for Fusion Frenzy, but loves Accounting+. Josh has a test, but mostly played Dragon Ball Z, Monster Hunter World, Battlefront II, Street Fighter, and Fire Emblem Heroes.

Briefly: Back at San Diego Comic-Con, Ubisoft offered fans the amazing opporuntity to run an obstacle course based on the now-just-released Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate (watch last year’s Assassin’s Creed: Unity run here).

The parkour-styled (for babies like us of course) obstacle course was designed to let attendees experience some of the moves from the Assassin’s Creed series, without having to find their own Animus and become an actual assassin.

The whole thing was extremely safe, aside from the one lady who didn’t listen to instructions and broke her leg right before it was Shane’s turn to run.

As you can see in the video below, the actual obstacle course itself wasn’t too hard (except for the ropes, which are a lot harder than they look). Participants could request to compete for top time of the day to win some cool prizes, and of course, bragging rights for this once-in-a-lifetime event.

You can take a look at Shane’s run below, watch the Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate launch trailer here, and let us know what you think!

Briefly: Here at Geekscape, we’ve been working hard to bring you plenty of quality content for our new YouTube channel, Geekscape TV.

So far, you’ve seen The Death of ‘Superman Lives’: What Happened? director Jon Schnepp detail his top 5 Superman stories, Jonathan playing some real life Mario Kart at SXSW, Stan Lee talking Marvel vs. DC (and more),  Lou Ferrigno playing Flappy Bird, of course Hero of the Prophecy, and much more!

We’ve got plenty more coming down the pipeline, but today we want to show you something very special. Our resident My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic super fan (or Brony, whatever you want to call him), Shane O’Hare was just in California for this year’s WonderCon, and he put together an excellent Rarity cosplay. Watch him detail his outfit, awkwardly hit on Nicole, and show off his finished product below!

Bronies and Cosplayers, how did Shane do? Don’t forget to subscribe to GeekscapeTV on Youtube, because we’ve got plenty more where this came from!
