Briefly: Good news everyone!

Three Amiibo figures that you probably already own have just received an MSRP drop by Nintendo. Wave 1 commons Yoshi, Peach, and Donkey Kong (who are all receiving Super Mario Collection figures in late March) have all dropped from $12.99 to $9.99.

If you’re one of the lucky few that haven’t picked up these three figures yet, you’re in for some sweet savings, but we should also warn you that it’s a slippery slope, and that just like heroin, Amiibo is an insane addiction.

Note that these three figures all made the top Nintendo’s list of most popular Amiibo figures, which is probably because they’re some of the only units that are consistently on store shelves.

How many Amiibo have you picked up so far? Which upcoming figures are you looking forward to? Sound out below!

Announced via an advertisement earlier today, Nintendo will be knocking $50 off the MSRP of both the Wii U Deluxe Set and the limited-edition Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Wii U Deluxe Set next month. Set to go on sale September 20 for $299, the limited-edition Wind Waker Wii U Deluxe Set comes with a 32gb Wii U console, a Zelda-themed GamePad, a digital download code for a copy of The Legend of Zelda; Wind Waker HD, and a hardcover copy of Hyrule Historia from Dark Horse Publishing.

Anyone with the slightest urge to own one of these should seriously consider pre-ordering it soon, for Nintendo limited-edition bundles tend to have an extremely short shelf life. All this for $299?! Yes!

Briefly: It’s not the big news that Sony announced at today’s Gamescom conference, but it’s definitely still worth noting.

Sony has officially dropped the price of its struggling flagship handheld, the Playstation Vita. Effective immediately, the console’s new price will be a cool $200 / €200.

Sony also revealed that a price drop on Vita memory cards is forthcoming.

Is the drop enough to make you consider the console? What do you think is in store for its future? I still believe that the system lacks a ‘must have’ title, and am afraid of what may happen once the PS4 launches. Will the Vita simply become a PS4 streaming device?

Vita owner? When’s the last time that you picked your console up? Can you recommend me some games?
