Last night we saw the official release of a brand new image from James Mangold’s The Wolverine and now Fox has released two more images that were previously seen as low-res scans. The promotional push has begun for the film with the trailer set to debut next week.

A few days back we saw a low-res scan of a new image from James Mangold’s The Wolverine and now to build up anticipation for the release of the film’s trailer, Fox has officially released the still image. The film promises to be the “badass” Wolverine film that we all want to see and from what we’ve seen so far, it may live up to that claim.

We’ve got two new low-res images for you to check out from from James Mangold’s The Wolverine. The images are featured in the latest issue of Total Film and feature a rain drenched Logan (possibly standing next to Silver Samurai’s armor?) with the other image showing off a bloody-clawed Logan. We can’t wait til the trailer drops later this month with the film promising to be “the badass Wolverine” that we all want to see.

It was rumored not too long ago that Daniel Radcliffe was in talks to join the cast of the Max Landis penned and Paul McGuigan remake of Frankenstein. Well, it appears now that the British actor has entered into final negotiations to star as Igor in Fox’s “different take” on Mary Shelley’s classic story. One description of the character stated that we would see the character “pathologically dirty and dressed in old clowns clothing”, while the plot of the film promises to, “put a sci-fi take on this classic story about a creature produced through a scientific experiment.”

There is currently no release date set for the film.

This one looks to be shaping up nicely.

Just moments ago, Comingsoon revealed the latest star to sign on to Matt Reeves’ upcoming Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. It’s none other than the Oscar nominated, highly versatile Gary Oldman, whose character will lead a human colony in the film.

Oldman will join Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Cody Smit-McPhee, and others in the sequel to 2011’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The sequel is set 15 years after the ape-invasion portrayed in the first film.

Director James Mangold has tweeted another behind the scenes image from The Wolverine, showing off a different type of set piece than last time. This time around we see some destruction, without a doubt caused by Logan, and a quite different looking location than we’ve seen before.

Director James Mangold has tweeted a new behind the scenes image from Fox’s highly-anticipated The Wolverine. While the image gives nothing away in regards to the film, it does show off  one of the beautiful locations that we will see in the upcoming film. Well, that and a ripped Hugh Jackman.

There’s definitely two characters in the X-Men universe that fans are massively hoping to see in the highly-anticipated X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Well, in an interview with IGN Movies, director Bryan Singer hinted that we may actually see them return to the big screen. When the director was told that a lot of fans would like to see Scott Summers and Jean Grey return the director replied with:

“Who wouldn’t? Who wouldn’t? [Laughing] That’s all I can say. The good news is that we’re all on the same page!”

Earlier in the interview, Singer emphasised that he has plans to fix some of the not-so-popular decisions that were made in X-Men: The Last Stand. It has also been revealed that the director has a few “younger characters” that he’s currently in the process of casting. Could we see a young Jean and Scott join the team? Or possibly even a return for James Marsden and Famke Janssen? Either way, there’s definitely hope that these beloved characters will be joining the cast of the highly-anticipated next X-film.

Director Bryan Singer has been revealing a little bit here and there about the highly-anticipated X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Today he tweeted an image that features a familiar sight for X-fans. Also, within this tweet, the director seemingly implied that fans could expect the first footage from the film to be shown at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past is set to hit theaters July 17, 2014.

20th Century fox have released a brand new image from James Mangold’s The Wolverine. The film, which stars Hugh Jackman as the title character, is being described as a “Japanese noir picture with tentpole action”. After a number of rumors, it has been revealed that we are just weeks from the release of the first trailer for the highly-anticipated film.

While speaking with Hit Fix doing promotion for Jack The Giant Slayer, director Bryan Singer spoke more about the upcoming X-Men: Days Of Future Past, which begins shooting in April. This time around Singer stated that Days Of Future Past is more of its own thing than an actual sequel.

uncanny-x-men-142-wolverine-storm

“This movie’s gonna be not only quite epic, ‘Days of Future Past,’ but it also takes place in completely different times than the ‘X-Men’ movies have taken place. There’ll be new technology, new things we haven’t seen before in ‘X-Men’ films. Certain characters and certain story and certain drama that hasn’t be done yet, so it’s not so much sequel. It’s more of its own kinda thing.”

One of the biggest problems fans have had with the X-films has been some continuity errors ( there are a few major ones), and some had wondered if they were rebooting the series with X-Men: First Class (which Singer was a producer on). Well, it appears that Singer may be out to fix some of these problems. When asked if the film was a sort-of reset for the franchise, Singer stated with a smile:

“I’ll be able to correct a few things.”

Well, hopefully one of those things is correcting how Scott Summers got the shaft in X3. We’re just saying.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past is set to hit theaters July 18th, 2014.

Bryan Singer is calling X-Men: Days Of Future Past  “the biggest movie he’s ever made” and it seems like every week it’s just getting bigger. Bryan Singer has just revealed that Game Of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage is the latest addition to the massive cast of the highly-anticipated next film in the franchise.

There are no details regarding just what the role is, but there’s one character that many may assume the actor could be playing. Is there a chance we may be seeing the Canadian fan-favorite Puck making a big screen debut? Us here at Geekscape certainly hope so. It seems like Singer still has some big announcements on the way and we can’t wait to see what else he has in store for us.

UPDATE: Well, Dinklage definitely isn’t playing Puck. It’s been revealed that he will play the film’s main antagonist. Let the speculation begin on just which X-villain we will see the actor play.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past is scheduled to hit theaters July 17, 2014.

We’ve been hearing quite about recently from Bryan Singer regarding the highly-anticipated X-Men: Days Of Future Past, and while speaking with Collider the director has given away a few new details regarding the film including confirming when the film begins shooting.

“I start shooting April 15th in Montreal, probably until October.”

“It’s a big movie. It’ll be the biggest movie I’ve ever made.”

1881056-xmen_schism_1_preview1_1_02f

It was recently revealed that the film would be set in the 70’s and Singer goes on to confirm that as well as revealing someone who will be making an appearance in the film.

“Richard Nixon’s in it, that’ll be an interesting casting choice… There’ll also be some more science-fiction-type aspects to the story and, without giving it away, some technology that we haven’t seen yet in the X-Men universe.”

Could they be replacing Senator Kelly (who was the target of an assassination plot in the original story) with Richard Nixon? Quite possibly. And what about this new technology not “seen yet in the X-Men universe”? Could he be referring to the Sentinels or something completely different? Guess we’re going to have to wait until the film hits screens next year.

Bryan Singer has given yet another indirect answer in regard to a popular character returning for X-Men: Days Of Future Past. While speaking with The Huffington Post about Jack The Giant Slayer, Singer was asked if we could see Alan Cummings (who has expressed interest in the film) make a return to the franchise as Nightcrawler. Singer responded:

large x-men 2 blu-ray3x

“I don’t know. We’ll see. You know … we’ll see.”

When asked if he was implying something, Singer responded with:

“I don’t want to … sometimes you don’t want to say “yes” or “no” to something that may not be a “yes” or a “no,” or anything. I haven’t decided yet, a few things.”

The script for the film is still being finished up and there’s a chance that a few more characters may be added into the film. Based on his response though, this sounds like one character that Singer is definitely considering bringing back to the franchise.

With production about to being on X-Men: Days Of Future Past, you’d think they had the whole cast lined up. However, director Bryan Singer keeps adding characters from the franchise and with a number of cast from the original trilogy on board, some have wondered if we would see the return of Halle Berry as Storm. It seems that Singer really isn’t even sure at the moment himself.

002089918466

“I can’t say. I don’t know yet. And it’s not necessarily a deal making aspect at all. I want to make sure it’ll make sense.”

Singer also isn’t revealing yet just who the main character or characters of the film are going to be, but does confirm that every character has purpose in the upcoming sequel to X-Men: First Class.

“I don’t want to say who the protagonists are yet, or talk about that yet, but I will say that every character has a very important function in the story. The story is designed and catered to the combined cast. It’s not just throwing in people to occupy the screen, occupy the billboards.”

Singer also went on to state that the plot of the films story is very much geared around the central cast. With filming expected to begin in a few months, we should expect to hear the final cast line-up very soon.

This is certainly an interesting and unexpected piece of news.

Fox today announced their intent to reboot the Hitman franchise. The first Hitman film (fittingly called Hitman) was released in 2007. The film was universally panned by critics and fans alike, but nevertheless went on to gross over 100 million dollars.

The new film, titled Agent 47, will be the feature debut of commercial director Aleksander Bach. Skip Woods and Michael Finch (A Good Day to Die Hard) will write the script, while (in an interesting piece of casting news) Paul Walker (Fast and Furious 6) has signed on to play Agent 47 (yes, you read that right… we’re all for it).

A good friend of Geekscape’s, Adrian Askarieh, is one of the producers on the film. He’s also producing the upcoming Deus Ex: Human Revolution movie! Both of those are near and dear to my heart, Adrian, so make us proud!

There’s been plenty of news when it comes to cast members from the original trilogy returning for  X-Men: Days Of Future Past, but when it comes to the cast from X-Men: First Class only a handful have been revealed to be coming back. Bryan Singer has already revealed that James MacAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult will all be returning for the film. But what about the rest of the cast?

first-class-signed-on-cast

With the recent revelation that events in the sequel would take place over ten years after the events of First Class, there’s highly a chance we may not see some of the younger cast members returning. Does this mean that we may see a “new” team introduced in the upcoming sequel comprised of younger versions of characters from the original trilogy?

xaviers-school

With the director bringing back many cast members from his previous X-films, is the possibility of Singer not only bringing back actors but characters that he’s previously worked with highly unlikely? Definitely not. This would also work quite well is Singer and Millar are working to fix FOX’s X-movie timeline being. Why is that you ask? Well, we did get cameos from two of the mentioned characters in X-Men: First Class.

1830484-xfc2_super

There’s plenty of exciting possibilities surrounding this film. And this one is just speculation for now, but at the rate things are going, we’re definitely going to be learning a lot more about the film before it begins shooting in a few months. But seriously Singer, we really all want Scott Summers to come back for this one.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past is scheduled to hit theaters July 17, 2014.

There hasn’t been much word regarding when we would see the first trailer for James Mangold’s The Wolverine, but now we know just when it will debut. The first trailer for the film will debut online February 12th and then be attached to A Good Day To Die Hard in theaters the following weekend. No word as far as length, but Mangold has implied that it will be a very minimal teaser that won’t be giving away too much when it comes to the story of the film.

The latest issue of Empire features two brand new images from James Mangold’s The Wolverine. The first image features a Logan getting suited up. No, not the kind of suited up you were hoping for. But he does clean up nicely. And the second set image definitely features a pissed off Logan who looks like he’s about to bring the berserker rage out to play.

Coming from someone who has never read Axe Cop, this show looks absolutely hilarious. Is Axe Cop available in TPB? Because I’ll surely be picking it up before the television adaptation airs this Summer.

Fox today released a new promo for the upcoming series titled Ask Axe Cop, in which Axe Cop himself answers the very relevant question of what would happen if he became president.

Check out the preview below, and let us know what you think! Will you be watching Axe Cop when it premieres on July 27th?

From the unfettered imagination of a five-year-old boy comes AXE COP, an action-comedy about the most badass superhero who ever existed! Operating on only two minutes of sleep a night and fueled by a diet consisting solely of birthday cake, AXE COP and his loyal partner, FLUTE COP, unleash their unique brand of vigilante justice on bad guys everywhere – including stopping Hitler from creating an army of evil zombie robots and helping BAT WARTHOG MAN find the villain who stole all his best friends!

AXE COP is the unique comic phenomenon created and written by Malachai Nicolle (age five) and his brother, Ethan Nicolle (age 30). What started as a small passion project between two brothers quickly evolved into an online sensation and was later published as a graphic novel by Dark Horse Books. AXE COP was developed for television by Nick Weidenfeld and Judah Miller (AMERICAN DAD). Matt Silverstein and Dave Jeser (“Drawn Together”) serve as executive producers/showrunners. The series ensemble cast includes Megan Mullally (“Children’s Hospital,” “Will & Grace”), Patton Oswalt (“Young Adult,” “Ratatouille”), Ken Marino (“Children’s Hospital,” “Party Down”), Peter Serafinowicz (“Shaun of the Dead”) and weekly guest stars such as Giancarlo Esposito (“Revolution”); rapper Tyler, The Creator; Jonathan Banks (“Breaking Bad”); Rob Huebel (“Despicable Me”); and Dan Harmon (“Community”).

Fringe ends in three days. Forever. As in there will never be another episode. The two-hour series finale airs on Fox this Friday at 8pm.

Fox today released a trailer for the feature-length episode, and while I haven’t watched it (I’m not caught up, and there’s no way in hell I’m spoiling this one), I’ve heard nothing but good things about it.

Watch the trailer below, let us know what you think, and tell us what you’ll be watching once Fringe ends!

Entertainment Weekly’s Summer preview issue has three new images, well one not so-new image, from some of this summer’s biggest blockbusters for us to check out. Yeah, the one from Man Of Steel was released a bit back, but who cares right?

Well, it appears that Hugh Jackman may have just confirmed a rumor that was reported a few months back. While speaking with Parade at the Les Miserable’s release, Jackman was  pretty straight-forwardly asked to spill some details about the film.

Give us a little scoop on the film.

And even though you thought he might have dodged the question. Jackman replied with:

You want to get me into trouble, don’t you? [laughs] Okay, the movie takes place after X-Men: The Last Stand. My character is at his lowest. He is supposed to be able to heal himself, but he may encounter someone who has worked out a way to really hurt him. And there is a cameo from one of the past X-Men in it.

Now, of course there’s a number of characters that could appear. But it is definitely worth noting that an earlier rumor surfaced that we may see Famke Jansenn appearing in the film as Jean Grey. We’ll find out just who is going to be making an appearance when The Wolverine hits theaters on July 26, 2013.

Source: Parade

We won’t see a trailer for Jame Mangold’s The Wolverine until next year, but Fox has just released a new poster for the film that will see Logan head to Japan. While the last poster for the film was pretty good, this one definitely is even better and sure to make fans desire to see a trailer for the film increase even more.

If you visit The Wolverine’s Facebook you can also create a custom timeline cover for your page.

Add one more comic book adaptation coming to theaters in 2015. 20th Century Fox already has The Wolverine and X-Men: Days Of Future Past on their way, and now they’ve set a release date for the their next big-screen Marvel adaptation. The Josh Trank (Chronicle) helmed reboot of Marvel’s First Family will be coming to theaters March, 6, 2015!

In addition to this release date, Fox has also announced that The Wolverine, X-Men: Days Of Future Past, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes and the upcoming Percy Jackson sequel will all be released in 3D. The upcoming reboot is being penned by Jeremy Slater, who has promised a take on the franchise that the “fans deserve”. With a release date now set for the film and production to begin in 2014 (in order to keep the rights to the film), expect casting to begin even sooner than many had expected.

Well, it’s been speculated for quite some time now that we’d see cast members from the original X-Men films returning for the sequel to X-Men: First Class and now director Bryan Singer has made it official. Singer has revealed that the story will indeed focus on past and future/young and old versions of the characters and has officially welcomed Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier) and Ian McKellen (Magneto) to the cast of X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Singer tweeted minutes ago:

It’s definitely worth noting that the director ended with “more to come”. From the sounds of it, we should expect even more casting news coming very soon. Dear Mr. Singer, let’s bring back James Marsden as Scott Summers. Just saying.

Earlier this week director Brian Singer tweeted that he would be teaming up again with costume designer Louise Mingenbach for the sequel to X-Men: First Class. Instantly, fans assumed the worst and believed they would see the return of the leather costumes seen in the first films. Well, the latest Tweet from the director should ease your concerns about this one:

So, ease your concerns. We’re sure to see the return of the yellow and blue costumes that we saw last time around at least. Hopefully, we will even see some more traditional comic costumes as well. We’ll find out in a few months when production on X-Men: Days Of Future Past gets into production! So far it sounds good.

Well it’s about time. The newest Die Hard chapter is just a few months away, and until today, we’ve really had no idea what A Good Day to Die Hard is about.

MovieHole today learned just what we’d all been wondering: what the hell is John McClane up to?

The plot, as we have all learned, featured McClane traveling to Russia to be with his son. So what’s going on with his son? What I’m being told is the son of John McClane, Jack, (played by Jai Courtney) is in fact an undercover CIA Operative. Cringe if you will, but this is slightly hinted at in the first teaser trailer released in September where Bruce Willis’ McClane says the line ” The 007 0f Plainfield, New Jersey.” This is referring to where the McClane / Gennaro family originally hail from, the city of Plainfield, NJ and McClane Jr being a secret agent, ala Bond 007.

CIA Agent Jack McClane meets his estranged father, the reluctant hero that is John McClane, in Moscow and who is apparently completely unaware how super-trained an agent his son actually is. Jack is so highly trained, that he’s deep undercover with Russian heavies who have their hands on some nukes, but once his cover is blown, both the younger and older McClanes are left with no alternative than to fend off Russian mobsters aplenty in unfamiliar territory.

So there it is! I know that so far the trailers for the film have left people feeling underwhelmed. Does this change things? In any case, are you looking forward to the film?

A Good Day to Die Hard romantically lands in theatres on February 14th, 2013.
