Don’t feed them after midnight. Gremlins are coming back!

After hearing Stone-Cold Steve Austin on a recent episode of Geekscape claiming that he was working on a new Gremlins I thought….yeah right!

Bloody Disgusting just got the official word that a Gremlins reboot is moving forward at Warner Bros., and that Seth Grahame-Smith (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) is attached to produce the film along with David Katzenberg.

Gremlins has hit that perfect sweet spot where it has been long enough since its release that you either remember it and want to see a new take, or you belong to an entirely new generation that simply hasn’t had the pleasure of experiencing the original film.

Gremlins came out in 1984 and was (and remains) wonderful to watch. I’m sincerely looking forward to this remake, and can’t wait to see more from the project.

Disney has released another trailer for their upcoming Disney Infinity set.

I get more excited for Infinity with each new trailer that’s released. As a geek with kids (yes, it’s a thing… our very own club), I enjoy playing video games with my children. I already pre-ordered this for the Wii U, and I believe that the possibilities are endless.

With the Disney Infinity Play Box mode, kids and adults will have the opportunity to create their own Games and Adventures in up to 4 Player Co-Op. There are also rumors of Marvel and Star Wars characters being added in the future.

Are any of you looking forward to the upcoming Disney Infinity playset? Be honest. How many GwKs are out there?

Recently, a leaked email to the Microsoft Durango team refutes the Always-On internet connected rumor that was going around regarding the upcoming Xbox Code Name Durango. This information comes courtesy of the often reliable VGleaks.

I was never too concerned with the rumor. However, in the event that my internet was shut off for some reason, I thought about how, in this instance, I would not be able to play my Xbox at all. These rumors come in advance of the upcoming XBox Reveal on Tuesday May 21st. Obviously, addressing this Always-On rumor would have been a major point for fans but via “Leaked” info we now know this to not be true. Whew! We can all let our cable bills lapse a little longer!

All of these flying rumors have us all very much looking forward to what Microsoft has planned for the next generation of gaming. Luckily, we only have over a week left to find out. Which poses the question: after hearing what the PS4 has to offer, what do you guys want to see in the next iteration of the Xbox?
