Today I came across a mysterious video put up on Playstations YouTube account. It is the sequel to an even more mysterious video posted on the 18th. Lets take a peak at “The Reload” and “The Arrival”.

Lets go back and deconstruct what we see. In the first video there isn’t much there, we are greeted by a tough, solemn looking lady who is holding a gun. She appears to be at a hotel front desk, when a stranger off screen can be heard walking in. The sound electricity popping can be heard quickly after.

In the second video we see the same lady typing a letter in a foreign looking language, one that reminds me of “WingDings” font from MS-Word. A jeep arrives outfront and she proceeds to unlock a gate for the driver.

What does this all mean? Well my best guess is that these are ads for Playstation Allstars Battle Royale. The first video we can assume that the electricity man is Cole MacGrath from the inFamous games and the second guy is most likely Nathan Drake from the Uncharted series.

The date at the end you ask? Well it coincides with the public beta of Playstations Allstars Battle Royale. So if this is any else, you can color me shocked. I will be sure to keep you updated when more of these mysteries come out.

The great lads over at Gamespot were able to get a hands on demo of PSAS:BR when head designer Seth Killian hit their office. In this video we will get a nice little peak at Raiden’s moves. Take a look with me!

This also gives some more validity of the pics and character info that leaked not to long ago, we already know that Cole McGrath from inFamous (both good and evil version) will be in the game so the list of rumored characters has some weight. That list was compiled by Joystiq, and you can find that below.

  • Dante from DmC: Devil May Cry
  • Cole McGrath from the inFamous series
  • Ratchet from the Ratchet & Clank series
  • Raiden from the Metal Gear Solid series
  • Sackboy from the LittleBigPlanet games
  • Sir Daniel Fortesque from MediEvil
  • Heihachi Mishima from the Tekken series
  • Toro, PlayStation marketing icon in Japan
  • Nariko from Heavenly Sword
  • Jak from the Jak & Daxter series
  • Spike from the Ape Escape games

PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale will ship on November 20th and is available on Commodore 64 and all Amiga systems. You know I’m kidding, right?

Today Sony announced that they are releasing a mash up fighting game called Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale.

The game will feature a bunch of your favorite characters from various Playstation titles and it will have them fight in various stages from the Playstation Universe.

Check out the introduction video below

Well this is definitely a SUPER collaboration of characters that lets you SMASH them around like old  BROTHERS. Do you think that Sony entering this MELEE of side scrolling fighting games is a good decisions? Will they survive the BRAWL of the critics?

Also. NINTENDO.

There, I believe I got my subliminal messaging accross.
