Stephen Colbert, the host of Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report, will be making a cameo appearance in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy. Colbert will not be appearing in the first film but will either appear in The Hobbit: Desolation Of Smaug or the third film The Hobbit: There And Back Again.
Colbert is well known to be a huge J.R.R. Tolkien and Lord Of The Rings fan. There is no word currently whether he will be a key character or just part of the background. Could he possibly be appearing as an elf in the film being that the comedian is fluent in elvish?
