Briefly: While I haven’t yet had an opportunity to start the series myself, I’ve been hearing nothing but good things about USA’s recently launched, Sawyer Josh Holloway-starring sci-fi series Colony.

After following the trailers up to its launch, and the incredible promotion at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, I’m excited to (eventually) check the series out, and even more excited that it won’t be a one-season affair.

Yep, USA has just announced that Colony has been renewed for a second season.

Only three episodes of the series have aired thus far, and that’s apparently enough, as Chris McCumber, President of USA Network notes that “Carlton and Ryan have successfully delivered a story that tests the strengths and weaknesses of a society in duress, and the bonds of a family divided. Colony’s performance across all platforms has been impressive, and we can’t wait to see where the story takes us.”

Have you been watching the series so far? What have you thought of the first three episodes? What do you want to see next? Be sure to sound out in the comments below!

If you’ve ever attended San Diego Comic Con, or ANY kind of convention for that matter, then you’ll know how difficult it can be to get around. From the massive crowds, to the tedious crosswalks (Twilight fans don’t stop for red lights) it can get tiring. Well USA and Uber have teamed up to bring attendees of SDCC 2015 some pretty sweet rides featuring the new show, The Colony.

The COLONY “Transportation Domination” will provide Comic-Con attendees with complimentary rides using a fleet of hundreds of COLONY branded units including military vehicles and SUVs, bicycles from 23 DecoBike stations and pedicabs, beginning Thursday, July 9 and continuing through Saturday, July 11 from 10:00 AM –10:00 PM PT daily.  The massive squadron of custom-designed COLONY branded military vehicles and SUVs will be available for request via the Uber app by selecting the COLONY option.   Additionally, one lucky participant will win a ride with COLONY creators Carlton Cuse (“Lost,” “Bates Motel”) and Ryan Condal (“Hercules”).  Fans can enter by following @ColonyUSA on Twitter and using the hashtags #ColonySDCC and#UberColonySweeps.

On top of that, there will be a team of the shows Transit Authority enforcers roaming the Gaslamp District. If you’re around and see any of these red-hatted gentlemen snag a selfie with them and share it with the hashtag #RedhatRewards. You’ll get your hands on some free food from around the convention area. And free food is the next best thing, right after free transportation.
