Here’s An Early Look At The ‘Animal Crossing’ And Mega Yarn Yoshi Amiibo!

This Friday, the next major batch of Amiibo, Nintendo’s wildly popular line of toys to life figurines, will make their debut alongside Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival. Serving as the series’ first Amiibo representation outside of the Smash Bros. Villager, our favorite animal friends like Isabelle, K.K. Slider and the slumlord, Tom Nook, will finally be represented in figure form. If those aren’t enough for you, Mega Yarn Yoshi will release a mere two days later, exclusively at Toys R Us. Having special functionality in Yoshi’s Wooly World and sizing up as the largest Amiibo to date, (as well as coming with the highest price tag, with an MSRP of $39.99,) many a gamer will have a new friend to keep them warm during these long, winter nights.

Luckily, we were able to get an in person preview of some of these figures in advance. While we wait patiently for the day when these new toys can take up more of our shelf space, here are a few shots to hold you over until the weekend rolls around.

Between the sloped bases of the Animal Crossing set and the care that Yarn Yoshi seems like it received, it’s possible that these might become my favorite Amiibo yet! WonderCon 2013 In Pictures: Day Two Cosplay

Day two of WonderCon 2013 has come to a close, and was of course an amazing experience. Our tireless team again combed every facet of the show floor (and some incredible panels, including Pacific Rim and Evil Dead), so keep your eyes peeled for a plethora of WonderCon content in the next few days.

Today, we hosted Heroine Legends and Nobility signings, arm wrestled with Batman for prizes, and of course, caught up with some old friends, made some new ones (here’s to you, Asian Blade), and had an absolute blast. WonderCon 2013 In Pictures: Day One Cosplay

We’re a third of the way through WonderCon 2013, and what an absolutely fantastic first day we’ve had! Jonathan, Kari, Shawn, Molly, and Eric spent hours scouring both the show floor and a multitude of panels, so look for plenty of WonderCon content in the coming days.
