Briefly: I’ve admittedly skipped out on the Fast & Furious series to this point (well, I did see the first film, but I was eleven). That’s definitely something that I need to change, however, as after seeing today’s Super Bowl spot for April’s Furious 7, I cannot wait to see what this franchise has to offer.

The spot is totally fantastic, and totally ridiculous. I don’t want to give away too much, so here it is:

I can’t even. Furious 7 hits theatres on April 3rd.

Briefly: I’ve admittedly skipped out on the Fast & Furious series to this point (well, I did see the first film, but I was eleven). That’s all about to change however, as after watching the just-released trailer for next April’s Furious 7, I cannot wait to watch through the franchise.

It’s definitely set to be bittersweet, as of course the film was still in production when Paul Walker had his tragic accident. But this trailer is absolutely phenomenal, and totally ridiculous. I don’t want to give away too much, so here it is:

Yep. They drive out of a flying plane. Super ridiculous, and super awesome. In any case, colour me excited, and I’m definitely going to start the series as soon as possible.

Are you looking forward to the film? Are you confident in James Wan’s direction? Sound out below! Furious 7 hits theatres on April 3rd.

Briefly: Following the debut of the film’s bad-ass first trailer at last week’s San Diego Comic-Con (read the recap here, as the trailer hasn’t been officially released yet), 20th Century Fox has debuted a new image that compares Agent 47 star Rupert Friend to Agent 47 from the celebrated video game series (of which I’m definitely celebrating Hitman: Go right now..

It’s a great image that shows just how much care went into casting the character (or recasting, as Friend obtained the role after the tragic passing of Paul Walker back in November).

In any case, Friend looks great, the trailer featured some very cool action, and I really can’t wait to see more. Take a look at the image below, and let us know what you think. Agent 47 blows its way into theatres on February 27th, 2015.

Based on the top-selling, award-winning videogame franchise, “Hitman: Agent 47” is an all-new motion picture about an elite and genetically engineered assassin, known only by the last two digits – 47 – of a barcode tattooed on the back of his neck.

Briefly: Just last week it was revealed that Paul Walker’s brothers Caleb and Cody would help to finish Walker’s iconic role in the seventh Fast & Furious film, and today costar Vin Diesel released the first photo of the brothers on set.

Here’s what Diesel had to say about the opportunity:

When I heard the news, I left the production, grabbed a plane and took my family and Michelle back to LA… drove directly to his parent’s house…

His Father said, Paul loved you Vin… I awkwardly and nervously said, aw come on… then he said… you don’t have to get along every second to love each other… so true.

P.s. After spending time with his biological brothers, I must say to the parents, you raised some great kids.

And here’s Vin with the brothers. What would you like to see happen to Walker’s character in the film? Fast & Furious 7 hits theatres on April 10th, 2015.

Briefly: Ever since Paul Walker’s tragic death last November, fans have wondered just how The Fast and the Furious series would continue.

Today, the film’s official Facebook page revealed that most of Paul’s scenes in the film had already been completed, and that Paul’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, would be stepping in to film the remaining scenes.

Here’s the full announcement:

The FAST & FURIOUS saga is about family. The characters are connected by the bond of family, and it is how all of us who have worked together for more than thirteen years feel about each other. It certainly defines how we feel about our fans.

Our family experienced an unthinkable shock in November. We had to take time to grieve Paul, the brother we love and lost, and to figure out if we should move on with our film.

We came together and all felt the only choice was to continue. We believe our fans want that, and we believe Paul would want that too. Paul had already shot his dramatic scenes and most of his action for FAST & FURIOUS 7, and it’s among the strongest work of his career.

We have resumed shooting and now welcome Paul’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, into our FAST family. Caleb and Cody are helping us complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production. Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too.

We are just under a year away from the release of FAST & FURIOUS 7, and this film is the most important we’ve ever done together. It will allow the character of Brian O’Conner to live on and let us celebrate Paul in his most defining role.

We wanted to take a moment to speak to our fans directly and thank you for the love and support you always show us as we resume our work.

It must be tough to be on that set right now. What do you think of the news? In any case, Fast & Furious 7 hits theatres on April 10th, 2015.

Briefly: IGN today revealed our first look at Agent 47 and its new leading man, Rupert Friend. Friend obtained the role after the tragic passing of Paul Walker back in November, who was signed on to play the titular character.

Friend stars alongside Zachary Quinto and Hannah Ware, though no plot details have been revealed at this time.

Take a look at the first image below, and let us know what you think! Does Friend suit the role? Or would you rather see another actor in his place?

Briefly: Agent 47 has just signed its second actor.

Heroes and Star Trek star Zachary Quinto has joined the project in an unknown role. He joins Homeland’s Rupert Friend in the film, who replaces the late Paul Walker as Agent 47.

The Hitman reboot, Agent 47 will be directed by Aleksander Bach. We’ll be sure to share more news on this one as further information comes to light! Who else would you like to see join the project?

Briefly: In the wake of Paul Walker’s tragic death just over a month ago, the Fast & Furious series lost its Brian O’Connor (who will be retired in the upcoming film), and Agent 47 lost its… well, Agent 47.

20th Century Fox today announced Walker’s replacement in the film, which had not yet entered production at the time of the actor’s death. Agent 47 will now be played by Rupert Friend, who is best known for portraying Peter Quinn in AMC’s Homeland.

No plot details or other stars have been announced, nor has a release date been set at this time. Were you looking forward to seeing a bald Paul Walker in the film? What do you think of Friend? Sound out below!

Briefly: In the wake of Paul Walker’s tragic death just over a month ago, the seventh chapter in the Fast and the Furious series was put on an indefinite hold, and if rumours can be believed, nearly cancelled completely.

In late December, series star and Paul’s close friend Vin Diesel revealed a new release date for the film (April 10th, 2015). Now, THR has learned that Walker’s character, Bran O’Connor, will be “retired” from the franchise, rather than killed off. According to the article, director James Wan and writers Chris Morgan and Jeffrey Kirschenbaum have decided to “tweak the existing script so that Walker would remain a part of the story but could be written out,” and that he’ll be retired in a way that “will satisfy fans of the franchise and make use of the existing footage of Walker.”

In any case, it won’t be the same without him. It’s certainly going to be bittersweet seeing this one on opening night.

Are you happy with the decision? Are you still looking forward to the film? Fast & Furious 7 hits theatres on April 10th, 2015.

In an attempt to lighten the mood, here’s a hilarious video of Walker on set.

Briefly: In the wake of Paul Walker’s tragic death just a few weeks ago, the seventh chapter in the Fast and the Furious series was put on an indefinite hold, and if rumours can be believed, nearly cancelled completely.

Series star and Paul’s close friend, Vin Diesel, revealed on his official Facebook page an image from the final scene that the pair shot together, and also announced the new release date for the film. Here is the text in full:

The last scene we filmed together…

There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we’ve come…

Fast and Furious 7 will be released…

April 10th 2015!

P.s. He’d want you to know first…

There you have it. The film hasn’t been cancelled (which director James Wan had already announced), and instead has moved from its original release date of July 11, 2014 to April 10th, 2015. Take a look at the image Diesel shared below, and let us know your thoughts on the change.

Briefly: The tragic death of Paul Walker last week continues to ripple throughout the world. Friends, family, and fans everywhere continue to mourn for the lost star, many only learning now of Walker’s many generous endeavours.

Universal announced today that Fast and Furious 7 has been put on an indefinite hold as the company decides what to do with the franchise (and as the cast and crew come to terms with the situation). The studio has also launched an emotional tribute video on the official Fast and Furious YouTube channel, which has garnered over 400,000 views in just a few hours.

Take a look at the video below, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Briefly: After Paul Walker’s tragic death just a few days ago, many wondered what the future of the Fast and Furious series would hold, especially the already in production Fast and Furious 7.

Well, the film has been put on an indefinite hold while Universal figures out what to do with it. On Dec. 2nd, the studio notified both cast and crew members of the halt in production.

Walker was set to reprise his role as Brian O’Connor in the film, much of which had already been filmed.

The film was originally set to release on July 11th, but it’s probably safe to say it won’t be making that date now. We’ll keep you updated on the situation, and be sure to let you know when a new release date is set.

Our thoughts go out to Paul’s family and friends.

Update: Walker’s representatives have confirmed the actor’s death:

It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences

Briefly: We’re still waiting for official confirmation, but TMZ has reported that actor Paul Walker died today in a fiery car accident. He was 40 years old.

According to the report, the actor lost control of his Porsche, which then crashed and burst into flames. TMZ’s sources state that Paul and one passenger were confirmed dead at the scene.

The accident took place in Valencia, California, where Walker was attending a car show which supported the Philippine typhoon relief effort.

Our thoughts go out to Paul’s friends, family, and his 15 year old daughter, Meadow.

Paul Walker Crash

Following yesterday’s release of a teaser poster for the film, the first official preview for Fast & Furious Six has been released. All roads lead to this…next chapter in the Fast & Furious franchise. Seriously though, this movie looks awesome.

Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian’s (Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin’s empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe.  But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.

Meanwhile, Hobbs (Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Rodriguez).  The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London.  Payment?  Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.

Fast & Furious Six races into theaters May 24th.

Okay so I don’t watch any of the Fast And The Furious movies and I for sure did not watch Fast Five. Titling the sixth movie after that Fast Six just seems lazy, right? So, in my eyes this movie had already struck out. That is until today. Joe Taslim of The Raid: Redemption has joined the cast of the new Fast And The Furious flick. Now if you have NOT seen The Raid by now then shame on you. If you have you may remember Taslim as Sergeant Jaka, team leader of the ill-fated SWAT raid operation who had some of the best fight scenes in the movie.

Taslim will play the villainous role of Jah, a cold-blooded killer who uses his martial arts and parkour skills to fight the pic’s protags, led by Paul Walker and Vin Diesel.

Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson and Michelle Rodriguez are set to return for the sequel, which has added new blood in the form of MMA fighter Gina Carano and villain Luke Evans.

Wait Gina Carano is in it too? Now I am definitely seeing it. But now that I am sold on this movie it leads to me to wonder if I have to go rent Fast Five? Ugh.
