El Chucho is back!

Jonathan couldn’t make E3 this year (damn prior engagements), and so instead of passing on his, well, pass, to one of his many underlings… he used his power to send his cousin.

Yep, that same cousin that showed up in the Amiibo Drug Deal short back in April.

This time around, El Chucho asks E3 goers what they thought of the expo, and which games they were looking forward to, and which companies had the best showings. He also creeps out some females, and, well, just watch the damn short.

Want to see more from El Chucho? Yeah you do. Be sure to like, comment, and subscribe!

Most importantly, never forget: this ain’t no casa de shades.

GeekscapeTV is back, with one of its most hilarious and too-close-to-home shorts yet.

Many of us Geekscapists (along with what seems like everyone in North America), have become beyond addicted to the Amiibo hunt. Once pre-orders for a new wave or figure go dry, we’re forced to scour store after store in search of the Amiibo needed to complete our collections. We wish we could live in a world (or a continent) where supply met demand for these interactive children’s toys, but while us North Americans live in the land of opportunity, our home is also the land of Amiibo drought.

Sometimes, we’re forced to exploit shadier methods to attain the rarest of the rare, and more often than not, the transactions look a little like this:

We sure hope that Nintendo stops Trap Teamin’ us sometime in the near future, because the Amiibopocalype seems more and more likely with each and every passing wave.

Just remember, folks. This ain’t no Casa de Shades.

Briefly: Guardians of the Galaxy is awesome. A ton of you saw the movie this past weekend, and a lot of you probably saw it more than once (I’m definitely in that camp, and I’ll probably see it again before it leaves theatres).

Did you know that Star Lord’s ship, the Milano, is largely physical and doesn’t actually utilize a lot of CGI? At least on the inside, that is. In a very Cribs-esque video, Guardians star Chris Pratt shows us around the surprisingly detailed environment.

Take a look at the short video below, and let us know what you think! What was your favourite part of the film?

Briefly: Two days ago we debuted a brand new Geekscape episode in which Jonathan, Shane O’Hare, our new friend Stanley Wong and I talk about our experiences at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. For Jonathan and me, however, our geek spring break began one day earlier when we attended the world premiere of Marvel’s latest, Guardians of the Galaxy.

You can listen to the episode (in which I don’t really understand how a microphone works and am entirely too quiet throughout) for our full thoughts on the film, but you can also check out the video below to see just how much fun we had.

Jonathan is no stranger to selfies (my Facebook feed is constantly flooded with them), and he decided to go for some video selfies with the Guardians stars as well as some of the other celebrities walking down the red carpet. The results are pretty hilarious (especially the reaction from Elizabeth Henstridge).

Take a look at the video below, and be sure to subscribe and share if you enjoy it! We’ve got plenty more coming down the pipeline, so stay tuned!

Looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy? Sound out below!

A few months back we launched our new YouTube channel, GeekscapeTV.

In that time, we’ve come out with some pretty stellar content, including Paul London: Hero of the Prophecy, Lou Ferrigno Playing Flappy Bird, Jonathan’s Award Winning Gay By Dawn (now in HD), Stan Lee Talking Marvel vs. DC, Shane O’Hare talkin’ cosplay, S.A.M. telling us about freedom, and much much more.

Last week, we hit 1000 subscribers. Our YouTube partners over at Fullscreen invited us to their offices to celebrate… or so we thought. Here’s what happened:

Yes, we have really been around that long, and we’re so thankful for all of your support over the years!
