Hollywood Reporter has just announced that Warner Bros. has cast J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon in the new Justice League movies!!

No stranger to the comic book movie universe, J.K. has been a fan favorite for his excellent portrayal of J. Jonah Jameson in the spiderverse. Some im sire were hoping he would be able to once again reprise his role in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot.

‘Justice League’, which will be directed by Zack Snyder, sees heroes Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) teaming up to combat a threat beyond each member’s capabilities.

‘Justice League: Part One’ starts shooting in mid-April with a release date of November 17, 2017.

The Tracking Board is reporting that Warner Bros. Are planning to develop a feature film using Booster Gold and Blue Beetle as the leads. They are confirming that Greg Berlanti, will be helming the project and executive producing. Greg Berlanti is the man behind the Arrow and The Flash TV shows on The CW. Heroic Hollywood also added to the breaking news by reporting that Marvel super writer Zak Penn, is being lured away from Marvel Studios to pen the script for the team up film.

Developing a Booster Gold and Blue Beetle film seems like WB is trying to take a step away from its usual serious tones. To me I could see maybe the studio going for a more family friendly light hearted film like Guardians of the Galaxy.

When Legends of Tomorrow was first announced to involve Rip Hunter I was excited at the prospect of Booster Gold and Blue Beetle joing the cast. This is one of the few I’m actually excited about and hopefully it comes to fruition.

NBC is currently developing a drama series based on Midnight, Mass, a Vertigo title from 2002. The title focused on occult experts Adam and Julia Kadmon as a sophisticated, sexy, globe-trotting husband and wife paranormal investigator team – based in Midnight, Massachusetts – that takes on supernatural foes, macabre mysteries and the most frightening creature of all: marriage. Evan Daugherty, who co-wrote Snow White And The Huntsman, will pen the adaptation which will be produced by Warner Bros. TV.

John Rozum, the comic’s creator, will also serve as an executive consultant on the project. This is the second time NBC and Warner Bros. TV are attempting to bring Midnight, Mass. to television. In 2009, they had plans to adapt the comic with a different writing team behind it but it never made it to the pilot stage. But with the success of shows such as Supernatural and Grimm we can most likely expect it to make it to that stage this time around.
