Brad Breeck is a musician and composer with some of our favorite TV credits, including Disney shows ‘Gravity Falls’, ‘Star vs The Forces of Evil’, Nickelodeon’s ‘Fanboy and Chumchum’ and MTV’s ‘Awkward’! He drops by to talk about how he got his start in TV composing and where he gets his inspiration… and maybe why it’s not always a plus to be first in school! I also profess my love for MTV’s ‘The Shannara Chronicles’ and we try and give Brad the perfect nickname! Enjoy!

Rapper/Animator/Nerd mc chris has been hard at work on a 6 episode cartoon series. However on April Fools day he reserved word that the network was passing on the show. Since the cartoon was funded by Kickstarter he has released the first 6 minutes on YouTube to build a buzz.

The cartoon was produced by Geekscape friends Titmouse (Black Dynamite, Super Jail) and has voice work from John Gemberling (fat guy stuck in internet) and mc chris as himself.

As a long time fan of mc chris I hope to see this cartoon get completed. It reminds me of Adult Swim back in it’s early (and frankly better) days.

Also as the YouTube description says “Remember this is just a pitch so the animation isn’t done, it’s only half of the pilot script and there are numerous things that will feel incomplete. The final version will look much different, have different characters, different dialogue, but this is the gist.”

It’s no secret that I’m a HUGE mc chris fan. Over the last two years his albums have appeared on both of my top 10 albums of the year lists and I once wrote a blog entry where I argued that his 2010 album mc chris goes to hell was better than Eminem, Kanye West and Drake’s albums that year.

Since that 2010 album, I’ve wanted mc to do a cartoon. The skits on his albums can sometimes over-shadow the songs I laughs per minute (which is impressive since history skits on hip-hop CDs suck balls). So when I heard a few months ago that mc chris was campaigning to get a cartoon made I was over joyed.

Well, here’s the news: he’s joined forces with the guys at Titmouse (Friends of Geekscape) and have released this teaser promo. As an mc chris fan, I am extremely satisfied with what I’m seeing and can’t wait to see more!
