If you have an iPad and haven’t experienced World of Goo developer Tomorrow Corporation’s Little Inferno, there has never been a better time to pick it up.

The game first released on PC and Wii U back in November, and quickly garnered critical acclaim based on its clever originality, quirky gameplay, and stunning style . As soon as I played Little Inferno for the first time, I believed that it would be a perfect fit for the iPad’s big, beautiful touchscreen. A few months later it released at the cool price of $9.99.

The game just went on sale for $.99, which is the lowest price its been since the iPad version launched back in January. It’s an amazing title, and one of the most original games you can experience today. Watch the trailer below, and download the game here!

When I first saw the trailer for Tomorrow Corporation’s (World of Goo) Little Inferno, I thought it looked absolutely wonderful. I also thought that it looked like a perfect fit for the iPad. The game looks like it was built with a touchscreen in mind.

Then Little Inferno released, and I immediately picked it up (digitally of course) for my Wii U. The experience was incredible, but as far as I know I didn’t glance at the television even once through the entirety of my playthrough. Again, this is a game meant for touchscreens, so I played it on one (the Wii U Gamepad). I do distinctly remember wishing I could play it on the go however, which was never a possibility… UNTIL NOW!

Tomorrow Corporation has announced that Little Inferno will be releasing on the iPad on January 31st (tomorrow). The company states that “Just like the other versions of the game, Little Inferno on iPad is still 100% free of in app purchases, ads, spam, etc. You’ll get Just The Game and nothing else!” It’s also been revealed that the title will come chock full of GameCenter achievements, so those of you that like to be rewarded for you gaming prowess with numerical points that have no merit… well, can concentrate on that instead of the distinctly original experience.

The price of the title has not been revealed, but I can imagine it releasing for a cool $9.99 (of which it’s worth every penny).

The game is amazing. If you haven’t checked it out yet, and you’re an iPad owner, this is definitely the version I’d go for.

Though the savings only extend to three games, Nintendo’s holiday sale could be the start of something beautiful: over the entire course of the Wii lifecycle, I can’t recall the occurrence of a single digital sale EVER. To have one so soon after the release of the Wii U can only mean good things for the future.

It’s no Steam sale, but Nintendo is offering some neat savings on three eShop titles:

Chasing Aurora is a 2D areal action game about the dream of flight. The title is available for a limited time for just $7.49! Though I haven’t played it, the game looks quite beautiful, and I’m sure I’ll pick it up before the sale is over!

Trine was absolutely wonderful, and somehow in the nine months since Trine 2 released, I still haven’t played it! Trine 2 is a gorgeous platformer, with plenty of neat physics based puzzles to perplex you on your journey. Based on the first game alone, I’d recommend this to anyone, and it’s on sale for just $15.99.

Little Inferno is one of the most interesting, oddly beautiful games I’ve had the pleasure of playing this year. All you really do is burn things in a virtual fire, but the game gives everything such a unique style and sense of purpose, that it’s very hard to put down. It’s a short but sweet adventure, and I implore you to give it a shot. It’s morbid, it’s disturbing, it’s beautiful, and right now, it’s just $9.99!

Seriously Wii U owners, check these games out!
