‘Red Vs. Blue’ Makes Its Television Premiere On The El Ray Network This December

The guys down in Austin are absolutely killing it, this has been the year of Rooster Teeth. Hot on the heels of their merger with ScrewAttack, and Funhaus/Inside Gaming before, is the latest and greatest news for the indie team. Rooster Teeth’s claim to fame, Red Vs. Blue, is making it’s television debut this December on the El Ray Network.

This isn’t THAT big of a surprise considering the fact that Robert Rodriguez was on the RT Podcast last week, where he and Burnie Burns joked about having RvB on El Ray. It was a very wink wink nudge nudge kind of situation. NOW it’s officially official!

El Rey Network will bring the award-winning, longest running sci-fi/comedy series in history, Red vs. Blue, to television for the first time.  Premiering December 5th on El Rey Network, all 13 seasons of Rooster Teeth’s Red vs. Blue have been lovingly and carefully curated and formatted from the original digital shorts into 95 half-hour episodes, which will air weekend mornings from6:00 to 10:00am ET/PT.

“I’ve been wanting to carve out an animated component to El Rey’s lineup and this was just the perfect fit for the network. Red vs. Blue is cool, quirky, badass and a little off-beat,” said El Rey Network Founder and Chairman Robert Rodriguez.  “It’s a truly groundbreaking machinima series, with a strong focus on quality writing and pioneering motion capture techniques.  I can’t wait for the El Rey Network audience to check out.”

“As young independent filmmakers starting out with no crew but a huge desire to make original content, Robert was a huge inspiration. So it seems incredibly fitting that Red vs. Blue will now have a home on El Rey Network,” said Rooster Teeth Founder and CEO Matt Hullum. “It’s the perfect fit for our brand of action, comedy and general animated mayhem.”

Based on the award-winning Halo® video game franchise, Red vs. Blue is a hilarious and action-packed series set in the distant future that tells the story of two groups of soldiers battling for control of the least desirable piece of real estate in the known universe – a box canyon in the middle of nowhere. Premiering in 2002, Red vs. Bluecontinues to grow as both a global entertainment phenomenon and popular staple of the Halo universe as it enters its 14th season.

‘From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series’ Gets A Full Trailer

Briefly: We’ve seen some stills, and even a teaser, but El Ray just launched a full trailer for March’s From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series.

Clocking in at two-and-a-half minutes, the trailer gives us a decent idea of what to expect from the series, and I think that fans will be very happy with what they see here.

Based on the thrill-ride film, the supernatural crime saga is centered around bank robber Seth Gecko (Cotrona) and his violent, unpredictable brother, Richard “Richie” Gecko (Holtz), who are wanted by the FBI and Texas Rangers Earl McGraw (Don Johnson) and Freddie Gonzalez (Jesse Garcia) after a bank heist leaves several people dead. The series, created and executive produced by network Founder and Chairman, filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, will premiere on El Rey Network, Tuesday, March 11th at 9pm ET/PT.

Two New ‘From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series’ Stills Debut Online!

Briefly: Following the first (short) trailer from a few weeks back, The El Ray Network today debuted two new stills for From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series.

It’s been years (and years) since I’ve seen From Dusk Till Dawn, so I don’t remember much of it. The film does boasts a huge cult following however, so I’m sure that From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series will be a huge hit for the network when it premieres later this year. The series stars Wilmer Valderrama as the enigmatic crime lord Carlos; D.J. Cotrona, who plays Seth Gecko; Zane Holtz as Richie Gecko; Jesse Garcia who plays Texas Ranger Freddie Gonzalez, a new character created for the series; Don Johnson who joins in a recurring role as Sheriff Earl McGraw; Robert Patrick as Jacob Fuller; Madison Davenport as Kate Fuller; Brandon Soo Hoo as Scott Fuller and Eiza González as Santánico.

Wilmer Valderrama Joins ‘From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series’!

Briefly: The principal cast of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series was revealed just a few weeks ago, and today, another big name joined that list.

That 70’s Show star Wilmer Valderrama has joined the project as enigmatic crime lord Carlos.

Cotrona, who plays Seth Gecko, Zane Holtz as Richie Gecko; Jesse Garcia who plays Texas Ranger Freddie Gonzalez, a new character created for the series; Don Johnson who joins in a recurring role as Sheriff Earl McGraw; Robert Patrick as Jacob Fuller; Madison Davenport as Kate Fuller; Brandon Soo Hoo as Scott Fuller and Eiza González as Santánico.

New ‘From Dusk ‘Till Dawn: The Series’ Cast Revealed!

Briefly: Now that production has begun on the highly anticipated From Dusk Till Dawn series, the El Ray Network has announced some of the series’ key cast.

The 10-episode supernatural crime saga (based on the film of the same name, duh) will feature Robert Patrick(Terminator 2: Judgment Day, The X-Files) as Jacob Fuller, Madison Davenport (Save Me, Shameless) as Kate Fuller, Brandon Soo Hoo (Tropic Thunder, Ender’s Game, Incredible Crew) as Scott Fuller and Eiza González (Lola: Érase Una Vez) as Santánico Pandemonium.

Here are the character descriptions, straight from the press release:

Eiza González recreates the role of Santánico Pandemonium, credited for launching Salma Hayek’s film career.  Robert Patrick portrays Jacob Fuller, father to Kate Fuller (Davenport) and Scott Fuller (Soo Hoo), who are held hostage by main characters, Seth and Richie Gecko and find themselves along for the ride of their life.  They join previously announced D.J. Cotrona(Dear John, G.I. Joe: Retaliation) who plays Seth Gecko, Zane Holtz (Holes, The Perks of Being a Wallflower) as Richie Gecko; Jesse Garcia (Quinceañera, Sons of Anarchy) who plays Texas Ranger Freddie Gonzalez, a new character created for the series, and Don Johnson (Django Unchained, Nash Bridges) who joins in a recurring role as Sheriff Earl McGraw.
