Briefly: I have never been so excited to replay an old game, but I’m even more excited to play its 20-year-old-but-never-released-until-now sequel.

Yep, just as we mentioned extensively on Geekscape Games last month (you are listening to Geekscape’s all gaming sister podcast, aren’t you?), Chip’s Challenge and Chip’s Challenge 2 are about to hit Steam.

Both titles will launch this Thursday, and Chip’s Challenge 2 will even feature a level editor as DLC.

I haven’t touched Chip’s Challenge since I was a child, but I’m really excited to give the game another go and see if I’m any better at hard-as-hell puzzle titles now that I’m an adult. Seriously, from what I remember, the game quickly becomes an infuriatingly tough experience, and as I’ve played more than a few puzzle games since my Chip‘s days, I think I may be able to do it (but I’m probably terribly, terribly wrong).

In any case, take a look at a Chip’s Challenge 2 trailer below, and let us know what you’ll be playing on Thursday.
