Briefly: The cast of CBS’ Supergirl has grown yet again.

Following the reveal of Dean Cain and Helen Slater’s casting earlier this week, TheWrap reports that The Last Five Years star Jeremy Jordan has joined the project as “Winslow “Winn” Schott, a tech genius and superstar IT whiz who works alongside Kara (“Glee’s” Melissa Benoist) at Cat Grant’s (Calista Flockhart) company, CatCo.”

He’s set for a guest role in the series’ pilot, though there is potential for his character to recur. In the DC Comics, of course, Winslow Schott is also a villain known as Toyman.

The series itself will focus on Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El, who also escaped Krypton before it exploded. Since arriving on Earth, she’s been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin. But now at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.

As earlier reported, Glee‘s Melissa Benoist will star in the series, and Calista Flockhart will play Cat.

Are you happy with Supergirl‘s casting so far? Are you looking forward to the series, or is the small screen getting as superhero-cluttered as the silver screen is? Sound out below!

Briefly: The project won a huge series commitment all the way back in September, and just a few weeks back we learned who would play the series’ titular character. Today, the cast of CBS’ Supergirl added a second member.

It’s Ally McBeal herself, Calista Flockhart. She’ll play Cat Grant, “the self-made media magnate and founder of CatCo. Cat started her career as a reporter and has built her company into a global powerhouse.”

The series comes from Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler, who previously teamed up for ABC’s short-lived (and fantastic) No Ordinary Family.

Are you down for the casting? Is there anyone else you’d rather have seen in the role? How about Melissa Benoist? Sound out below!
