Briefly: Following the first trailer from a couple weeks back, HBO has just debuted another preview for its upcoming myster/drama series, The Leftovers, which is based on a rapture novel by Tom Perrotta and will also act as Lost executive producer Damon Lindelof’s return to TV (Lost’s other showrunner, Carlton Cuse, has already returned with the fantastic Bates Motel).

I think that this may be next next TV addiction. The Leftovers looks hugely mysterious (much like Lost, which I miss to this day), creepy as hell, and just damned interesting.

Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know what you think. The Leftovers premieres on HBO June 29th.

Briefly: HBO today (finally) released a full for its upcoming myster/drama series, The Leftovers, which is based on a rapture novel by Tom Perrotta and will also act as Lost executive producer Damon Lindelof’s return to TV (Lost’s other showrunner, Carlton Cuse, has already returned with the fantastic Bates Motel).

Judging from this trailer alone (not to mention that neat teaser from a couple of weeks ago), I think that this may be next next TV addiction. The Leftovers looks hugely mysterious (much like Lost, which I miss to this day), creepy as hell, and just damned interesting.

HBO today released a new teaser for its upcoming series The Leftovers, which is based on a rapture novel by Tom Perrotta and will also act as Lost executive producer Damon Lindelof’s return to TV (Lost’s other showrunner, Carlton Cuse, has already returned with the fantastic Bates Motel).

The teaser begins calmly enough, with a soothing voiceover describing that “there is no death” in allusion to millions of people that suddenly disappeared… but things go south pretty quickly.

Take a look at the teaser below, and let us know if you’ll be taking a look at the series when it premieres on June 15th.

When 2% of the world’s population abruptly disappears without explanation, the world struggles to understand just what they’re supposed to do about it. Three years later, the new HBO drama series THE LEFTOVERS is the story of the people who didn’t make the cut.
