Harrison Ford & Asa Butterfield Introduce First Footage From ‘Ender’s Game’

The first trailer for Gavin Hood’s upcoming adaptation of Ender’s Game won’t be released until May 7th. However, a short teaser has been released with an introduction from stars Harrison Ford & Asa Butterfield that you can check it out below revealing the first bits of footage from the film.

Following the release of the first official poster for the Gavin Hood directed adaptation of the critically acclaimed bestselling sci-fi novel Ender’s Game, the release date of the trailer for the film has also been revealed. The film’s producer Roberto Orci revealed via Twitter:

 


 

With Star Trek Into Darkness hitting theaters on Friday May 17th, there’s a good chance that we may actually see the trailer premiere online earlier in the week.

With the trailer for the film expected to be on the way soon, the first poster for the upcoming Gavin Hood directed adaptation of the critically acclaimed bestselling sci-fi novel Ender’s Game, has been released. Check it out below.

In the near future, a hostile alien race have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander, Mazer Rackham, all would have been lost. In preparation for the next attack, the highly esteemed Colonel Graff and the International Military are training only the best young children to find the future Mazer. Ender Wiggin, a shy, but strategically brilliant boy is pulled out of his school to join the elite.
   
Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easily masters increasingly difficult war games, distiguising himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soon ordained by Graff as the military’s next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he’s trained by Mazer Rackham, himself, to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.

 

Ender’s Game is set to hit theaters November 1, 2013.

First Official Still From ‘Ender’s Game’ Released

The first official still has been released for the upcoming adaptation, directed by Gavin Hood (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), of the classic sci-fi novel. The image gives us a first look at Asa Butterfield as Ender Wiggin among a group of new recruits (aka “Launchies”) as he faces off with Colonel Graff (Harrsion Ford).

In the near future, a hostile alien race (called the Formics) have attacked Earth.
