Legendary Reveals Limited Edition ‘Trick ‘r Treat’ Print For L.A. Screening!

Briefly: This looks like a fantastic print. I just may have to pick one up from Odd City since I can’t make the screening myself (I loved the movie, but won’t arrive in Los Angeles until the next day).

Fans of Michael Dougherty’s cult classic horror movie Trick ‘r Treat will have another way to celebrate this film’s theatrical screening/panel this coming Monday as Odd City Entertainment will be releasing a Trick ‘r Treat limited edition print by JAMES FOSDIKE to commemorate the event! All fans who attend the screening will receive one of the limited edition prints (image attached). Additionally, 100 numbered prints and 85 glow-in-the-dark variant edition prints will go on sale at the Odd City Entertainment store the following day. The poster was printed with eight inks on French Whip Cream paper and printed by Half and Half.

“I was very honoured to be asked to illustrate a poster for Trick ‘r Treat,” Fosdike said. “It’s a wonderfully clever and surprising Halloween film with such an iconic creepy little guy at it’s center. I loved the interweaving storylines, it reminded me a lot of Creepshow, which I loved as a kid. I wanted to put as much of the story as I could on the page, giving the image a comic-book touch with the background panelling, and adding a special frightening touch to Sam. Turn the lights off and you’ll see…”

The Odd City poster is just one of many ways that fans can experience this special event, even if they are not able to attend the screening in person. Both the showing of the film and the panel, which will be attended by Dougherty, who directed and wrote the movie, along with cast members Dylan Baker, Brian CoxQuinn LordJean-Luc Bilodeau, and other special guests, will be live-streamed nationally on Legendary’s Facebook page at facebook.com/legendary. The livestream will begin at 7:30 pm PST. Fans can tune in to watch the film and panel,  join in on the conversation, and enter to win Blu-ray copies of the film!

The film has such a cult status now that I could definitely see screenings becoming a yearly event. I would love to experience Trick ‘r Treat on the big screen! It’s easily my favourite Halloween film, and I had a feeling that it would be something special from the moment I first watched the trailer.
