Nestor Carbonell Checking Into ‘Bates Motel’ by Derek Kraneveldt

A small but interesting piece of news for A&E’s upcoming Psycho prequel, Nestor Carbonell looks to have a part in the series.

Just shortly ago from showrunner Carlton Cuse’s (Lost) twitter account:

Carbonell of course played the mysterious and unaging Richard on NBC’s insanely popular drama Lost. You’ll likely also recognize him as mayor Garcia of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.

No other information has been revealed, so who he will portray is still a mystery. A great casting choice however, Carbonell is typically fantastic.

I loved Nestor Carbonell on Lost, so it will be exciting to see him return to television in The Bates Motel. I have been trying to figure out his potential character with a co-worker at DISH. We think it’s possible that he will be the lover of Norma’ character, creating friction with Norman. I can’t wait to find out for sure; I will definitely be adding it to the list of shows I record on my Hopper. With 2,000 hours of recording space, I have plenty of room for all of my favorite shows. It will be interesting to see if our theories are correct, but I am sure regardless of his character, his performance will be incredible.
