Anyone who says disco is dead has obviously never seen disco-spoiltation vampire flicks featuring a belly-dancing granddaughter of Dracula (Nai Bonet), a geriatric Vlad with fang dentures (John Carradine), his previous girlfriend (Yvonne DeCarlo), Brother Theodore as a rapey werewolf, a male lead that basically looks like He-Man before the sword powers, and at least one Playboy model. NOCTURNA (1979) is… something, we guess? We tackle this one live at Monster-Mania with Marissa, the other half of the Jersey Ghouls, and then turn to cartoon bats as dawn breaks. Cue funky bassline!

The road to Wrestlemania and G1 SuperCard weekend has come to an end. We are left with so many memories and experiences that will make our hearts forever full. It was quite lit.

Kofimania ran wild and emotions were at an all time high!

Please join Neo, Rok, Teek Hall, and from the Steel Cage, Cap Kaveman, have a round table discussion over all the wrestling that happened. We share how wrestling made us feel, thoughts, opinions, and like taking a swig of Rok’s spinach juice some of the disgust. But wrestling is fun, and it will keep getting better. Thank you Mat Maniacs for your continued support. We appreciate every one of you.

PUT OVERS:

Teek – Kevin Hart Netflix Special Irresponsible

RIP NIPSEY HUSSLE (August 15, 1985 – March 31, 2019)

Full Moon Pictures is like the Bloodstone of cheesy horror, always dribbling out something to satisfy us at Horror Movie Night, and this week, we’re talking SUBSPECIES (1991) with Jackie of Jersey Ghouls fame! The Draculas are out in force and we sort of talk about the film while enjoying each other’s real-life company at Monster-Mania this March. Sink your fangs into our nubile, pasty flesh, we don’t mind…

We have a SPECTACULAR Episode on tap with special guest, esteemed emcee, RoQy TyRaiD. We put him on the hotseat about his beginnings, inspirations and his first wrestling memories. We put to rest the “Is The Rock Black” ridiculousness, with a deep dive exploration of racial ambiguity in wrestling, old video games, and that leads right into KOFIMANIA!!! IT’S HAPPENING! Will we get what we want this Wrestlemania? We examine conspiracy theories, the Mandela Effect yelling in a fake accent and so much more on this week’s episode!

PUT OVER:

Ran: Rockness Monsta’s one take freestyle

Teek: Erykah Badu’s “But You Cain’t Use My Phone” mixtape

Neo: The Nod Podcast

Rok: Originoo Gunn Clappaz “The Storm” album

Mega Ran will be in the UK this week, get out there and get tickets at megaran.com

Post-apocalyptic blues got you down? What better way to cheer up than to hang out at the radio station blasting tunes and having a shopping spree at the mall?? Kelli Maroni just can’t keep away from those places, and we tagged along with her in NIGHT OF THE COMET and brought the immortal J-Tro (Jason Trost) with us! We talk 80s culture, the dangers of nostalgia, and his upcoming sequel FP2: BEATS OF RAGE. If you haven’t turned to piles of Tang already, hang out with us as we awkwardly attempt to repopulate Earth!

Why are there no porn plots where a busty lady has a rodent problem and calls an exterminator to clean up, and then when he’s done and showing her a giant rat he killed, she pays him in sexual favors? If any aspiring directors out there are into this, you gotta get someone who gives 110% every second on screen like Brad Dourif does in 1990’s Stephen King adaption GRAVEYARD SHIFT. These are our terms. In any case, it must suck to share screentime with a juggernaut like Dourif when you can barely remember your lines or what it sounds like when humans talk, and you can get a taste of that by watching everyone else in this film, as they are picked off by a gigantic rat/bat monster in delightfully gruesome ways. The Maine accents are pretty confusing, but there’s still some meat left on the bone here, so clock in for your shift with Horror Movie Night!

Wellllll it’s the BIG SHOW! Fresh off Mega Ran’s unreal appearance on Ring of Honor’s 17th Anniversary PPV, Ran and the crew give the skinny on what it was like. Ran details his run in with Bully Ray and starts the #BeatBully hashtag. Join us! Just post a video of your character beating Bully Ray in any wrestling game.

shout out to our guests, G1 (who produced two new singles for Ran this month) and Derek Montilla of the Steel Cage Podcast.

So…What was scripted? What was not?!?! The boys chat about music, the road to Mania and so much more on this awesome episode!

PUT OVER: Rok – our homie Ali got a Kidney transplant! Teek: The Two Killings of Sam Cooke on Netflix Derek: Above The Rim Soundtrack G1: Himself! (3 singles out this week, check those out online!) Ran: Phony Ppl (new EP out now) Neoecks: Joshua Schlag of the Steel Cage for the ride to Vegas.

Strap in because it’s about to get weird… the original plan was that we were gonna just hang out and shoot the shit for an episode. Instead Brooke and Andrew got into a deep conversation about the best snacks to get before we watch Dumbo. What’s your favorite pre-movie snack?

We are on the swerve-filled road to Wrestlemania! Come join our round table discussion about life & wrestling. Teek Hall, Roknowledge, Neoecks, and special guest G1. We discuss our feelings on WWE and how things are progressing towards Wrestlemania.

Did Ronda insult your intelligence? Will KofiMania happen? Let us know your thoughts! Thank you for your continued support. And a very extra special thank you to our Patreon supporters. We will have more content for you guys. When life give you a choke slam and you have a MatMania tee on, you receive +10 kick out to keep your shoulders off the mat.

PUT OVER
Teek – Batman vs TMNT: animated movie
Rok – Widow TV series
Neo – Gettin On (HBO TV series)
G1 – Power Rangers TV series

Thank you once again special Mat Maniac Patreons. We cannot thank you enough for your support and and continued dedication to the brand. It is because of you we will be headed to ROH 17th Anniversary show in Sam’s Town Hotel in Las Vegas. We will be sure to bring you exclusive stories, and content. Please let us know what you want with your support. We want to ensure we are giving you the best value. We love you all and we will drink a few for you. Cheers.

Do you love spirit possessions? How about ninjas? How about V8 sex?? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, or hell, even if you haven’t, you’re in for a ride with us this week as we discuss the 1984 action/horror/kung fu/aerobics extravaganza NINJA lll: THE DOMINATION! The hairspray and rouge are in full force, as this specific possessed katana imbues its wielder with some serious eyeliner skills. This film has to be seen to be believed, and your boys have got the play by play to keep you jazzercising the black ninja at bay. But beware, we don’t USE soda!

We talk a lot about the diminishing returns of horror sequels, but the Leprechaun series is easily one of the worst offenders. Exhibit A: 1996’s abysmal LEPRECHAUN4: IN SPACE. It’s not even fun bad, it’s just…low effort and cheap. I mean, the writers didn’t even take the time to make Warwick Davis’s lines rhyme! But never fear, your trusty tour guides through the shadowy world of questionable horror will take you by the hand and at least bring a bit of good out of this flaming dumpster fire of a flick. That’s the Kelly luck o the Irish for ye this St. Paddy’s!

Once again back is the incredible!!!! That’s right MatManiacs, we are back with another edition of your favorite podcast! This week it is a triple threat as Roknowledge, Teek Hall and The Neoecks hold it down while lead booker Mega Ran is out Mega Ranning! The boys break down the week in wrestling and what a week it was!!!! We talk Michael Jackson and give all praise to Samoa Joe. This is the go home show to this Sundays PPV event Fastlane and tings definitely escalated on both RAW and Smackdown! Before diving into the week in wrestling the boys started things off with the put over segment:

Neo – Game of Thrones

ROK – Roq’y Tyraid’s “Get Right Freestyle” on Power 98.3 where he proceeded to decimate the mic and put rappers on notice!!!!

Teek – Doom Patrol

After that the boys pay talk a little hip-hop and a bit about the upcoming release of Captain Marvel. Following that we get into some wrestling news and talk about the passing of King Kong Bundy, Tommaso Ciampa’s neck injury which will unfortunately lead into him having to relinquish the NXT title, and then we get into both RAW and Smackdown, the reunion (for the LAST time) of the Shield, ROK asks for a wellness check on Lio Rush after getting Braun Strowman’d into the wall and ROK asks if Ronda’s promo from Monday was her best yet. We switch to Smackdown and Teek is ready to talk Samoa Joe ending R-Truths title reign and we talk Andrade and Rey getting the Fastlane Pre-Show treatment. Lastly it wouldn’t be the go home show without the boys predicting and doing a little fantasy booking!

Mat Mania is brought to you by The Muscle Hustle on iOS and Android. Play the game and send your game tags to us to win a FREE superstar from The Neoecks!

Take everything you thought you knew about werewolves, and flip it upside down, because that’s how you get to Australia, ya dummy! We’re heading for a walkabout in the Outback with quite possibly the strangest lycanthrope movie we’ve yet seen, 1987’s Ozploitation classic Howling lll: The Marsupials! Quick recap, Howling l shows the world that werewolves exist by having Dee Wallace transform on live TV; Howling ll has a lot of oiled up bodies and Cybil Danning looking like she’s starring in a Manowar video, and Howling lll throws all that out the window and says, you know what? Werewolves are mystical creatures powered by the spirit of the extinct Tasmanian tiger. It gets weirder from there. Don’t believe us? Guess you’ll have to listen to the episode, in which Matt and Brian do pretty solid Aussie accents.

Another high powered episode coming at ya, with guests Derek Montilla (@Cap_Kaveman) and G1 in the house to talk some real stuff. The gang chats about depression and health scares, put over shows, music and much more, with a lengthy chat about Roman Reigns’ return. They shut down haters and naysayers, while giving Raw and SmackDown big props for solid eps this week. Also, would you work for free to chase your dream? How about for a billion dollar company?

The gang also talks ROH, and Mega Ran’s role in the upcoming Anniversary Show, as well as Honor Rising results. Thanks for listening!

PUT OVER:

Teek – Kim Jeong special

Ran – Self Care

Cap – Spring Training

G1 – his daughter! Congrats!

Neo – vaporwave playlists.

This week we’re recording from an undisclosed location to discuss villains who we think are greatly misunderstood. Maybe Scar has more in common with Jon Snow than Joffrey. Maybe Hades isn’t a villain at all. Maybe Ursula is just a business woman! Let us know what villains we missed by emailing us at DisNeatoPodcast@gmail.com

Take the Wicked Witch of the West and make her look grotesque. And have there be a ton of different versions of her. Remove all plot and logic, add a sort of sweet battle of the bands, and you have 1986’s almost-a-movie NEON MANIACS! We are joined this week by Mike James of 5 Second Films fame (the geniuses behind one of our recent favorites DUDE BRO PARTY MASSACRE III), who has vowed to fight anyone to the death if they dare to criticize the music in this film. We’re not going to argue that…ok maybe just a little, so tune in to see who’s left standing and who’s a pile of watery green jello under the Golden Gate Bridge on this week’s episode of Horror Movie Night!

Mega Ran, Neoecks, Roknowledge and guest G1 (he’s not much of a guest anymore, he’s family) talk about a BIG week in wrestling. But first, TEEK HALL makes a SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT about the gender reveal of his upcoming child!

We are all thankful to not live in a place where snow falls. #KofiMania is running wild in the WWE, while a bunch of new faces debuted to some mixed reactions. We pour one out for the wrestler soon to be formerly known as Tye Dillinger, Neo and Ran HEAVILY disagree on the suspension of disbelief. The guys discuss the great Mark Henry special on the WWE Network, and end with thoughts on Kota Ibushi’s decision to Change The World in NJPW. Remember folks, #WrestlingIsFun!

PUT OVER:

G1 – Hasbro’s new Power Rangers figures

Ran: Word Is Bond on Showtime

Teek – Umbrella Academy on Netflix

This week Brooke and Andrew try to record without Producer Matt. It was the night before Brooke’s birthday and they got a little tipsy and talked about the recently dropped Frozen 2 trailer. Did you love it as much as we did? Let us know at DisNeatoPodcast@gmail.com

Remember how much you love Freddy? Well how about a romantic tragedy with way less humor, gore and charm, but still starring the guy behind all that makeup? You’re in luck this Valentine’s Day, because your HMN boyfriends are making it special with some candles, some roses, and their seductive voices screeching about Robert Englund’s lukewarm take on a classic Universal monster, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (1989). There are some solid scenes to be had here, but we agreed that this is one of those films where none of us would have taken the time to watch if not for the show, so let us do all the heavy lifting for you. Cuz lover, tonight is all. About. You.

The Mat Mania crew is BACK with a new episode. For Valentine’s Day, the boys pick their Valentine’s sweethearts, while Mega Ran discovers he might have asthma. They talk about AEW’s inclusion policy, Becky, Ronda and Charlotte making three, NJPW’s new champ and what made Neo cry, Teek’s White Castle habits as well as a dedication to Lamont “Big L” Coleman, who passed away almost 20 years ago. The boys make their predictions on Elimination Chamber and are all in on the #PUSHKOFI movement. It’s Time.

PUT OVER:

Teek: Big Mouth V-Day Special on Netflix

Rok: Season 3 of One Day At A Time on Netflix

Neo:Summing Salt on YouTube

Ran: Todrick Hall – Straight Outta Oz (album)

This week Brooke and Andrew sit down and listen to a variety of Disney Cover songs (as selected by Producer Matt) and decide which shows are certified Jams and which ones are trash. Do you agree? Let us know at DisNeatoPodcast@gmail.com
