Trailer Trash Heap: Twilight: Breaking Dawn, The Vow, & More!

Kyle Kriner here as always, gang! This week we have a bit of a laid back heap. Some documentaries, some romance, and films for those of you who like to mix reading with movie watching. Even though I thought movies were made so we didn’t have to read. I digress…So there may be no explosions or fight scenes here this week, but it is summertime. How much longer could we really go without any? Find out next week, Geekscapists!

Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt 1

“The Fuckening”

I still don’t know what it is about Kristen Stewart that makes these creatures of the night want to kill each other, but its still kinda cool how he turns into a wolf/dog thing mid-sprint.

General Orders No. 9

I’m just completely baffled. Nothing about this trailer gives me anything to work with. If mystery is what you’re into, then we got a winner.

Spy Kids: All The Time In The World

Ahh, tween movies. Gotta love ’em. It’s also good to know where Jessica Alba’s career is heading.

Crime After Crime

It’s a flawed system but what can I say? America…

A Love Affair Of Sorts

This trailer really lays it on pretty thick. How many times do we have to see them make out? I don’t know, this one looks like a snoozer to me.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

I know everyone’s making a big fuss about this one. The trailer looks cool. It gives us a lot of sick scenes but never really tells us anything. Let’s hope this one lives up to the hype.

JIG

This should just be called True Life: I Wanna Be An Irish Dancing Champion. That would interest me more.

The Names Of Love

I’m usually cautious when it comes to strange looking foreign films but this one had me cracking up. It’s clearly well written and clever, and looks to be a treat.

Beats, Rhymes, & Life: The Travels Of A Tribe Called Quest

Let me start by saying that if Michael Rapaport supports something, I’m in. But anyway, any real hip-hop fan is gonna rush to see this one. These guys are legends, and you don’t get to see them up and close and personal like this very often.

The Vow

The Notebook’s Rachel McAdams…Dear John’s Channing Tatum. This Valentine’s Day… Dear God, it’s just too much for me to bear sometimes. Have fun getting dragged to this one, fellas.

Sarah’s Key

You know, I’m gonna completely reserve judgment here. I honestly don’t like calling movies boring just based on the trailer, but I’m so close to saying it again, that I have to stop typing.

The Lion Of Judah

Can an animated movie like this be any good if it’s not Disney Pixar? This trailer doesn’t bring a whole lot to the table in that argument, but I’m sure the kids will enjoy anyway.
