Trailer Trash Heap Harold & Kumar 3D, Stay Cool, Timothy Green, & More

Hey, there, geeks and geekettes! Kyle Kriner here with your weekly fix of trailers! Certainly not much in the way of action this week. More like a “pour a glass of pino and sit on the couch” type of heap, but hey, it can’t all be wham bam thank you maam. It’s always quietest before the storm, and though I can’t promise another barrage like last week, a little optimism isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Until then, enjoy!

We Need To Talk About Kevin

So we’re starting off with a nice little enigma of a film. It’s definitely got suspense, and some uncomfortable moments. But we don’t know anything for sure with this one. The trailer gives of a thriller type of vibe, but I think we’re gonna end up with something way off the wall.

The Odd Life Of Timothy Green

Ok, well if I had the choice, I certainly would rather plant some papers in the ground and a kid pop up later than having to deal with nine months of late night ice cream runs. Especially if the kid is some kind of messiah. That’s just win win.

Stay Cool

C’mon, what grown man hasn’t had this fantasy? I dream about it all the time. Second chance at high school, hot blonde falls for you. Waking up from that is always a real downer. But luckily, this movie looks like fun, cause what’s wrong with dreaming?

Beware The Gonzo

Looks like Ezra Miller is pretty busy lately. Here we have some more high school fun, a little closer to how reality is for some kids. The film features another pop star who will apparently look high school age forever, Jesse Mcartney. That newspaper causing a revolution seems pretty hokey since that would pretty much lead to immediate disciplinary action, but I’m willing to indulge with this one. It looks pretty funny, and Zoe Kravitz is so hot.

Bunraku

I know this movie is trying to do something different as far as setting and atmosphere, but I just can’t get into it. I love Josh Hartnett as a leading man, and there’s some other big names involved too, but with these sets and backgrounds, it just makes me take the actors less serious.

Coriolanus

I usually like modernized Shakespeare movies so this shows some promise right away for me. I’m not a big fan of war movies, but this looks to be something a bit different from standard military stuff. It has suspense, mystery, and some action. I just hope the fast paced moments aren’t too few and far between.

A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas

Now this is certainly one that we’ve all been waiting for. The second one started to get a bit overboard, and I see that this one completely goes all out. I laughed throughout the trailer, because how can you resist these guys, let alone NPH? It’s gonna be fun regardless, but I do kind of miss the unexpected night gone wrong plot the first one had.

I’m Glad My Mother Is Alive

Eh, these French films never seem to catch my interest. This one deals with some heavy heavy stuff, but does nothing but make me bored and depressed. I gotta admit though, putting that crying baby outside was pretty messed up, I don’t even think I would do that.

Tanner Hall

Aw, man, guys. I’m sorry for giving you another snoozer consecutively like this. This is strictly a chick flick by all means, with nothing much too it except maybe making a little mischeif while you’re young. Oh, man, that puts me right to the edge of my seat.

Father Of Invention

I gotta be honest, the title scared me a bit. But I was pleasantly surprised with this the moment the trailer started. I love Kevin Spacey in this role, down and out with a sucky life. It’s different for him and I personally think this one will be pretty funny.

Faces In The Crowd

I like the concept of this one. Not being able to recognize faces. It’s an interesting thing to delve into, and hopefully the movie milks the opportunity for all it’s worth. Milla Jovovich just basically has to play Alice again, but she might be dealing with less zombies this time around.

Politics Of Love

I actually thought from the title, we might have gotten something a bit more clever. But we get a cheesy love story with the backdrop of the presidential election. We all see where this is going, and it doesn’t look particularly fresh or original. I’m very lukewarm here.

The Smell Of Success

Well, here we really get something original and very quirky. Just downright wierd I should say. Two rival fertilizer companies battling it out. It cracks me up just saying that. Billy Bob is perfect for this role, the humor is dry and the jokes are all in the delivery. It’s always a good time to see Ed Helms, and I’m interested to see what actually winds up happening in this one.
