Briefly: I’m still crying myself to sleep every night over Konami’s cancellation of Silent Hills, and today the fine folks over at Mega64 took to ridiculing the publisher over the decision (and their other weird choices as of late), and at the same time remind me just how phenomenal P.T. was.

The skit is pretty hilarious, and at the same time, it mostly just made me sad. If you were looking forward to Silent Hills as much as I was, you may want to have a box of tissues handy, as this one may make you laugh so hard that you cry, but will definitely remember at just how sad a time it is to be a gamer.

P.T., we hardly knew ye.

Looks like the Mega64 boyz have done it again. After a six week drought in sick vids, we got a slurry of great skits. Today we were gifted with this hilarious Shadow of Mordor video.

They’ve really captured the look and feel of the game, you know minus the cars and tourists. Credit where credit is due, Garrett Hunter (the team’s effect artist), really outdid himself on the costumes for this one.

For more Mega64, check out their official website AND the Sub-Reddit.

Oh boy! Last Sunday night on their livestream, Mega64 announced their newest Blu-Ray release! Check out the trailer for “Time is Running Out”

If you’re not familiar with the “Time” series of releases, then let me bring you up to speed. Every so often Mega64 collects the previous few years of their work in a nice handy dandy package. “Time is Running Out” is the fourth in the series, and the first one to be released on Blu-Ray!

This collection contains all their skits and commercials, unaired or rejected works, and a few new surprises. Each video will have its own commentary, which is worth the price of Blu-Ray alone! Hearing about the various trials and tribulations that went into each video is one of the most entertaining parts.

“Time is Running Out” also features a new story line running throughout, which if it is anything like their previous one on the “Time Travelers” collection then we’re all in for a treat.

The Blu-Ray will go on sale on Black Friday during Mega64’s yearly livestream, BUT you can preorder it now!

So what are you waiting for? Head on over to Mega64’s blog post for more detailed information and to secure your own copy of “Time is Running Out” now!

While passionate Smash Bros. players around the world eagerly await the next Super Smash Bros. installment for Wii U and 3DS, Nintendo looks to bring the Smash Bros. community together this June.

During this morning’s Mega 64/Nintendo video collaboration, it was revealed that Nintendo will hold its first ever Super Smash Bros. Invitational Tournament at the Nokia Theater in L.A., bringing sixteen ‘highly skilled’ players (yet to be revealed) to compete in a Super Smash Bros. Wii U during E3 week. Details regarding how to view the event, either online or in person, will be revealed at a later date.

With so many skilled players at Smash 64, Melee, Brawl, and Project M, who would you like to see get an invite to the Invitational Tournament?

Looks like Nintendo finally “gets it” and put out a compelling advert! FEATURING OUT FRIENDS OVER AT MEGA64! Check out their E3 trailer below!

A few weeks ago during their Nintendo Direct, Masahiro Sakurai let loose some details on the upcoming Smash Bros. titles that really piqued the interest of the competitive scene, and with the announcement of their tournament it shows they obviously learned from their mistakes.

Watch live as 16 highly skilled Super Smash Bros. players take each other on in the first-ever Nintendo-sponsored Super Smash Bros. tournament. We’ll share more information soon about the invited participants, the announcers, and how fans can view the tournament in person and via webcast.

The most exciting news from the video is the fact that we all can get our hands on Smash Bros at Best Buy’s around the country! No specifics were announced as to when that will happen, but be sure to stick here at Geekscape and keep an eye on the official Nintendo E3 website!

It’s no secret that us at Geekscape are huge fans of the Mega64 Boyz. I personally have been watching their skits and full length episodes for YEARS, and I cannot give them any higher praise. Their humor, delivery and writing are amazing and they always blow me away. Hell, they are the ones who turned me onto The Aquabats!  So when I received an update from YouTube that Mega64 uploaded a new video, I was expecting a new skit. What I got was this awesome trailer for their 10 year anniversary Blu-Ray collection! Watch it with me below!

If you’re a fan of Mega64’s full length episodes that you are probably as excited as I am right now. They’ve been hinting at possible Blu-Ray releases for a few years now, and we finally FINALLY get a doozy of a collection.

No official write up yet as to what specifically we can expect to find in the Blu-Ray set. From the trailer and their Live Stream from tonight, the guys ran down a few of the features.

All three seasons of the Mega 64 show. Versions 1,2, and 3 REMASTERED!

Commentary, original AND the updated 10 year edition

All Easter Eggs and extras from the first run. As well as things that SHOULD have been put out on the DVDs in the first place!

Even that small bit of news, it is still an amazing package to behold! Now you can get your hands on The 10th anniversary collection of Mega 64 this November 29th during their Black Friday sale. They always have great deals as well as new special goodies to behold!

So make sure you check out their official Mega64 site for more details once they are released!

You read the title, now believe. The crazy fun guys from San Diego (and friends of Geekscape) that brought us the famous Tetris Skit, Resident Evil 4 Skit, Assassin’s Creed and Fallout 3 Skit have just announced a new compilation DVD. Watch the trailer for ‘Time Travelers” below.

The third in the series (Mega64 Time, Mega64 Night Time), Time Travelers will be an up to date compilation of skits, commercials and “oddities”. Not much has been released yet, but the group have said a full list of content will be on their site shortly. What HAS been announced (tonight on their live stream) made me giggle like a school girl!

Not only do we get and updated collected works of skits and commercials, but we get eyes on new and unreleased videos (did you see that ACII costume? Cause I did!). Also included with the DVD will be a commentary from the Boyz and a brand new story line!

So check out their official website for more info  and be sure to get to their store come Black Friday to pick up the DVD!

We had an awesome time at Comic-Con 2012 but sadly it’s now over and we’ve returned to our normal lives.

Luckily we still have fond memories and plenty of pictures to go along with it. This year we made an Instagram account @GeekscapeDotNet (follow us, you know you want to). It allowed us to take plenty of cosplay photos as well as a few photos from panels and other cool stuff.

So without further ado here is the Geekscape 2012 Comic-con photo gallery!
