Watch Marin In Action In This ‘Hyrule Warriors Legends’ DLC Trailer

Back at Wondercon, the developer panel for Hyrule Warriors Legends promised that Marin, Link’s rescuer at the beginning of The Legend Of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, would be the first paid DLC character for the handheld adaptation. We’ve waited a few months since then, but we won’t be left hanging much longer, since the Link’s Awakening Pack DLC has been confirmed for a June 30 release.

We were wondering how Marin would hold up in battle considering the only things she was really good it in her only appearance was singing, sitting and disappearing. True to the her character, Marin attacks with a giant bell, with the ability to control water and music notes that damage enemies on contact. Her special abilities allow her to summon the Wind Fish, which either belly flops on enemies after falling through the sky, or swims through the air, taking any opponents it makes contact with along for the ride.

Aside from the new character, Linkle is also getting some new attacks thanks to her new boots. These weapons force her to put her crossbows away in favor of some flashy kicks to put her enemies away. As if her stylish fighting style didn’t already resemble a certain red coat wearing demon slayer enough, watching Linkle put her feet to good use is exciting to watch. I can’t wait to find out for myself in a few days!

This DLC pack will also include new Koholint Adventure Mode map and 15 My Fairy costume pieces. Available to those who purchased the season pass as well as gamers who want to buy it on its own, it’s looking like this first DLC pack will give us plenty to look forward to. Considering one of our major complaints with the game in our review was its lack of new content and how annoying it was to unlock it, this pack can only help in that department.

Are you planning on downloading the pack and playing with Marin? Let us know!
