[As for the forum whoring - there are peeps on here [Staff, Writers etc, etc] who only post to when promoting the latest episode of their podcast / latest list of whatever, so don't worry about it.
You mean the people who kept the lights on when you disappeared for a year? ;)

Yeah, because having the best part of a lung cut out really qualifies as dissapearing for a year. Had you - Oh I dunno, fucking read some of my posts, you might have realised that.

As for keeping the news running - seeing as there are now, what - 900 staff members, how come the news has gone to shit? Aside from the XXX 'exclusives', almost everything gets posted late.

I agree with Keanu / Neo / Satori / to an extent - On the one hand, I can foresee twitter being, if not gone, then in a similar position to MySpace within six year. On the otherhand - it's twitter, it's so integrated into handsets, etc, etc, that  I can see it still being around.

hey, I had more, but 3 years of inactivity is too long for Jonathan to wait I guess. my old account was deleted.

All the accounts - and content, was deleted when the forums transitioned to the current version. As for the forum whoring - there are peeps on here [Staff, Writers etc, etc] who only post to when promoting the latest episode of their podcast / latest list of whatever, so don't worry about it.

Note to self: Don't post pic of 21 year old Dan Radcliffe, 'done up' to look like Bowie.

Stick instead to the pic of a 20 year old Emma Watson, 'falling out' of her wardrobe, that were on the front page of a National newspaper, over the weekend [with the uncensored versions, inside].

Congrats on the returned appetite!  And that plate looks like awful, food shouldn't be touching like that until it's in your stomach.

Come on - It's not like I'd present a plate like that, if I were serving it for guests, or I had company - I'd obviously put some consideration into the presentation. Having said that, however, when I'm preparing a meal for myself - I just pop everything onto the plate - I've never understood the need to present a perfect plate, when you're the only one who'll see it.

[He says, having taken a pic of said plate, and put it on the internet. Which somewhat undermines the point :) ]

News: Borders Bookstores Closing Down
Barnes and Noble have the Nook range of e-readers / light weight-tablets, which'll help them. And the former Borders customers, who refuse to 'go digital' - either fully, in terms of e-books, or who simply aren't comfortable buying physical books online, will likely start shopping with Barnes & Noble.

It's a fan made trailer - it actually says so on the video itself.

News: Twilight: Breaking Dawn Panel At Comic Con Done Early
Isn't this the same site that posed a [seemingly] 15,000 word diatribe about how, as geeks we bitch about everything, unfairly. Just wondering, 'cause it seems like this was written from way upon a mighty horse. Do the Twilight films suck? Yes. But 'ragging' on the fans of said books / films, because they're invading your precious 'con, smacks of elitism. Take it up with the organisers, and the movie studios.

News: Win An Autographed Boondock Saints Poster, Signed By Troy Duffy, David Della Rocco, & Ron Jeremy
Re: Bond: The problem with Bond, is that due to the age of the character [in terms of how long he's been around, not the actual physical age], there are waaay to many different interpretations of him, most of which are a bit 'meh' [the new book in particular - Carte Blanche, makes Bond out to be a metrosexual new age type, rather than the 'thuggish' type that he is in the original books].

News: What is Pottermore?
"...It's not a new book or the copyright on the site wouldn't need to feature the WB..." It's been a while since I've looked into the various legal aspects of the Potter world, but I'm fairly certain that even if it this has nothing todo with a film / tv series, it would still need to have the Warner Bros copyright line. As for what it is - All I'm saying is Rowling has gone from a staunch 'No. Never in a million years'-esque stance on e-readers, and the likelyhood of the Potter books ever appearing for the Kindle / Nook etc, to 'It's being actively considered'. Interestingly the news that Rowling might finally allow the Harry Potter books to be published electronically, came about a week before the news about Pottermore.
