Trailer Trash Heap: Our Idiot Brother, Immortals, & More!

Kyle Kriner back this week with The Heap! The list is short, but what I lack in quantity, I think I made up for in quality. There are some great trailers this week and I think this summer is really shaping up to be a great movie year. Enjoy, and don’t forget to invite me when you guys go see these. Writing a column on a geek web site doesn’t pay as well as you think, but I promise my company is worth paying for my ticket. Thanks in advance!

Our Idiot Brother

Paul Rudd is one of my favorite comedic actors. Either he is so naive that he’s awkward, or he’s so bitter that he’s a creep. And he can obviously pull off everything in between. I’m jazzed for this.

The Devil’s Double

This is a cool concept, but I’m curious to see where they actually go with it. I’m hoping there turns out to be some killer action as the protagonist tries to escape from the terrorist group. Curiosity is enough for me to want to check this out.

What’s Your Number?

Having seen this one at a private screening some months back, I can tell you guys it’s a treat. It’s nice to see more and more of Anna Faris’ nice set of….acting chops. C’mon, what did you think I was talking about?

Immortals

Mickey Rourke as a Roman??? Once you get past that, there’s plenty of cheesy accents and over the top battles. This might be fun on a Friday night, but I don’t predict anything too memorable.

Age Of Heroes

At first glance, I thought this would be another WW2 movie. Personally I get a bit tired of them. But I like how this one leaned towards action and explosions. I think this might be a more fast paced take on the whole thing.

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon

I know I’m not the only person who wasn’t a big fan of Transformers 2. But now you take Megan Fox away? That automatically makes this less appealing. I can only hope this movie goes back to what made the first one great.

One Day

You know you couldn’t get away without some kind of sappy romance flick. But I am actually a bit interested in this premise. No mystery where it’s going, but at least it’s something a bit different.

X-Men First Class

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2
