Tohru Adachi Confirmed For ‘Persona 4 Arena Ultimax’!

Tohru Adachi, the bumbling detective turned sociopathic serial killer who tormented our heroes in Persona 4 has been confirmed as a downloadable character for the upcoming fighting game sequel. Revealed courtesy of Famitsu magazine, screenshots show the former antagonist fighting side by side with Magatsu Izanagi again, which is essentially the evil version of the protagonists main persona. According to the article, each new copy will come with a free code to download him, giving players extra intentive to buy the fighter new. No word on if this will be the case in the West, but I wouldn’t be surprised since this seems similar to BlazBiue: Cronophantasma, another Arc System Works fighter which tied their big bad villain, Terumi, to their online pass DLC.

Details are few at this point, but I’m curious as to how he’s managed to make it into the game story wise since he was in prison when the main story of the RPG ended. Still, anyone who’s followed Persona 4 Ultimax knew this was only a matter of time, especially since his sprite was spotted in the arcade version during a story sequence. What will his moveset be? Will it involve throwing cabbage? Only time will tell.

Adachi is the latest character to be added to the mix, following the inclusion of Rise, Ken, Junpel, Yukari, Persona newcomer, Sho, on top of shadow versions of every character both old and new. Considering how much I loved the first one, this news only helps one of my most anticipated games of 2014 look even better.

Who else would you like to see get added to the Ultimax cast?
