Mad Men Barbies!

Barbie, the toy that's hopelessly mired in the sexist 1950's, will now be... well, hopelessly mired in the sexist 1950's with their new line of "Mad Men" dolls, modeled after the characters of Don Draper, Betty Draper, Roger Sterling, and Joan Holloway (whom, if the picture is any indication, will be completely inaccurately proportioned).
These dolls are limited editions, and with a run of 7,000 to 10,000 per character. And for some reason, even though "Mad Men" is a purely adult series dealing with drinking, smoking, overt sexuality and other naughty, naughty things, the toys will only come with "period accessories like hats, overcoats, pearls and padded undergarments, but no cigarettes, ashtrays, martini glasses or cocktail shakers."
So in other words, these are the $74.95 collector's edition dolls that your five-year old daughters (you know, the ones you don't allow to watch the show) have always wanted.
Aw screw it... We want them too. Which one do you guys want most?

That is strange. The most adult series ever made is getting a line of children's toys. Although I heard a statistic somewhere that most Barbie enthusiasts are actually single men over 50. I don't think sexual orientation was a part of the study.
thank you Bibiani for putting actual news in this news story rather than just a link.
oh and Betty Draper, definitely.
