Netflix Tiptoes Into The World Of Gaming

In an interesting turn of events, Netflix put out an original 8-bit style game featuring the stars of some of its shows, including one of my favorite love-to-hate characters of all time, Piper Chapman among other characters from their popular shows such as Stranger Things, Narcos and Marco Polo even though it got cancelled.

Netflix Infinite Runner, an autoscrolling platformer where characters jump to collect items or avoid obstacles, seems to have gone a little under the radar as it seems to be a foreshadowing of what may come next from Netflix: Video Games.

For all of us geeks and nerds out there, this may be a very good thing considering how well they have done with the recent netflix originals series and how they have changed the way we consume movie content.

When the idea of the second screen concept came out, marketers by all accounts failed to capitalize on this concept, but we may be seeing the early signs of Netflix succeeding where others failed.
