If Geekscape were a household, I'd be that neighborhood kid who always shows up and eats dinner and invites himself over for sleepovers, but kind of keeps to himself to a point where it's like the family doesn't notice him because he doesn't really help clean up, and only sometimes has something interesting to say. I've been here kind of a while, but newer people get more involved with the site than I do, so I mostly just contribute to photoshop and music threads because I'm on hard times and can't afford videogames (trying to play through Shenmue 2 again) or comics anymore. (I'm still on Dark Reign!) My username is a stupid pun that I thought was funny about 8 years ago and have since used it out of habit on everything on the internet. I think I'm the only Nevadan (Reno, like Reno 911, but without the palm trees and ridiculousness) on the forum, although I live with Snake who has been living in the Scape house since the Drome days but moved away from the house to go to the big city and doesn't ever call or write home anymore. My avatar is the logo from my radio show (Stupid Baby) on Wolf Pack Radio on Thursday nights from 9-10 pst at wolfpackradio.com. Listen to it, people here have never heard my sexy Barry Manilowesque voice or the moody spacey jams, obnoxious first wave emo, and angsty gross punk rock that I play. This is the video of my origin story |

So going along with felines analogy of the Geekscape household, I guess I have become that uncle who used to come over alot, but then kind of disappeared and now only shows up for holidays and when he needs money after a 2 week bender in Vegas and lord knows those strippers won't pay for themselves, and who knew that meth could be so damn tasty... Anyway. I love the new digs and I wanted to come and say hi! I miss all you crazy kids and I hope that I will be able to make more of a nuisance of myself soon. If you need me, I'll be up in my old room, which you decided would be more useful as a library... |

Hi guys! My name is Klitzy. I am a troll here on Geekscape and think I went through puberty while watching Jonathan London, yes I have been watching him for a while. I now am in college and like to pretend that I have a life....I don't. I love all of you and wear my black geekdr*me, and geekscape shirts....every day. That is all. Goodnight. Sincerely, Klitzy

Two shirts a day, Klitzy? Impressive. EDIT: "Where did uncle Ben go?" The only answer possible is "we don't talk about Uncle Ben anymore. Go to sleep or no more mashed potatoes." Come back, Funnelman, come back |

(So I think my first post just got eaten by the forums) Anyway a recap: I guess this is an new member introduction. I'm Dawn. From a couple of different cities in Canada over the past while. Just moved back to where I grew up (Calgary) a few months ago. I'm hoping not to stay too long. I've been a sporadic watcher/listener since the 'drome days. Tired of being a lurker. Lonely in Calgary. So I made an account! |

Awesome - Welcome, Welcome, Welcome, and all that jazz. As for the forum, I think it does that for a persons first few posts - I've noticed a few people now who've had probs posting not long after their account "goes live". Either way, it's working now :) |
