I've been meaning to create this for a while, but as the qualifying starts in just under an hour, I figured this is the ideal opportunity ;)

F1 returns with what promises to be the most exciting season ever - 4 world champions on the grid:

  • Jenson Button
  • Lewis Hamilton
  • Fernando Alonso
  • Michael Schumacher

There's also Massa who would have been a contender last year, if not for that horror accident, Vettel and Webber at Red Bull, who both have race winning potential (and in Vettels' case, World Championship potential).

Then there's the big one - no refuelling. The top teams have had mechanics on unparalled training programmes, to shed weight, increase muscle mass, and speed things up - according to reports, Red Bull can remove and replace, all 4 tyres on their car, in 1.8 seconds.

In short - Bring it on :)

Popular thread was popular :)

Actually, it was a damn good season truth be told. Sadly the 2011 season has already been somewhat over shadowed [before it has even started] by the horrible injury to Robert Kubica, and the cancellation of the Bahrain GP, due to concerns regarding the political situation.

I think F1 is so much cooler than Nascar and yet Nascar is so much bigger in the US.   Now, that said, I definitely do not follow F1

It's supposed to be coming back to the United States, in 2012 - I'm not sure what race number it is, but the American GP is definitely back, though this time in Austin, Texas.

we have the Toronto Indy, that runs through the downtown area of our city along Lake Ontario, that's about as close as I get to racing.

Well, you also used to have the awesome (imo) Canadian F1 GP until Bernie axed it, to make way for the newer circuits. A shame really, as it was a nice race, and I know most drivers liked it.
