Alright, so as some of y'all may know, over on the "Forums of old" we had a weight-loss / healthy living thread called - "Seriously an XXXXXXL T-Shirt". It was pretty popular - it ran from June 14th 2007, and contained 1634 comments, as well as a bloody tonne of lost weight, and personal goals achieved by us all.I'm not sure if we need another one or not? Initially I thoughts Pirates "We're all fucked on the health front" (Not that health, though lord knows some of us flirt enough ;) ) thread might cover it, however that seems more geared towards serious health gripes that some of us live with / are learning to live with.Where as the "old" XXL thread was more weight-loss / exercise goal orientated.

So what do peeps think? Keep both threads, or is it better to shift the content that would appear in here, into the Adamantium spine thread?

I was 50/50 between Ghost Dog, and Seth Rogen, as to who'd spoonsor the thread:

What makes it more annoying, is that if I didn't know who Seth Rogen was, I'd totally tap that to hell and back.

I want to know where he got his pants from!

Current status:

1.  Seeing a personal trainer once a week

2.  Using a meal service to prepare all 21 of my meals per week

3.  Snacks are only protein shakes and fruit

4.  Sexy as all hell with a shaved head

Pathetic as this'll sound, I know what I look like with short / shaved hair, which is getting me down a bit. I agree though, it does suit other peeps.

Fuck you disease which I'm beginning to accepcpt I have a fear of saying outloud / typing, 'cause it still freaks me out - I just walked a fucking mile back home from the cinema. Take that recommended recovery / physiotherapy programme.

Although I gotta say - I'm pretty knackered. And by knackered I mean sitting here on an oxygen machine :) So perhaps not the best thing in the world todo, but there we go.

Been working out most of this week.

Death Metal and Bob Ross (Julia Child or that Richard Bayless Mexican cooking show) on the TV is the best thing to work out to.

So I'm moving into cyborg territory by wearing a heart rate monitor and stride sensor while I run that are monitored by a device that interrupts my music from my iPhone to give me instructions about what to do.  It also produces these lovely charts so everyone can see my progress.  It appears I didn't slow down sufficiently for my "blue" intervals.

we can't move anything in these forums. which is why I'm simply deleting posts now when they're not in the right forum. I'm hoping that'll be fixed sometime soon.

given my wife's heart issues this is perfect for her and her need to be jogging as much as possible.

I think those things are well cool - When I used my bike there's a heart rate monitor that syncs up with the onboard computer, but it doesn't output anything, unfortunately.

As for me - I'm quite happy with my progress. I walked to the cinema this morning, which is a (according to Google Maps) 2.7 mile way, which includes a bit that isn't exactly a vertical climb, but it's steep enough for me at the moment :) What I'm more happy about, is that while I had to sit down for a few mins once I hit the top of the incline, I felt relatively Ok afterwards. I'm a bit out of breath at the moment - I might perhaps have pushed it too far (given the physiotherapist is recommending short walks at the moment), but yeah, I'm happy I managed todo it.

I start the next stage of my treatement tomorrow, so more than likely all my energy is gonna vanish quicker than Forest Whitakers waist-line, but there we go :)

yeah, don't go overboard, it is quite simple to wreck whatever gains you make by over doing it. I speak from experience.

also I know I've asked this before about the wonky hybrid version of the metric system the UK uses, but do you always meaure things in miles for distance? Is speed measured the same way?

im sure i will find the support from you guys as always, but i will really try this time.

I got some prizes from Marvel and they said we gonna send you some gear what's your shirt size.  I said 4XL but I could fit into a 3XL.  They said, "lol, we are going to send you a hat instead."   I cried myself to sleep that night.  Which was last night.
