I’m really enjoying digital comics, lots of good cheap stuff. screw buying comics, I want the story more than the ritual of bag and boarding

6 more chapters left to Feast for Crows … then on to Dance of Dragons. At the rate I’m going, the next novel will be out. As much as I am enjoying the books, I need a break.

I think this week I’m going to start Maltese Falcon by Hammett, I hear it’s good and loved Raymond Chandler’s The Big Sleep

I’m not a huge sit-down-with-a-book guy. I don’t like fiction that much and with the internet non-fiction is very easily accessed BUT 2 years without a book I am jumping in with
The Ascent of Money by Niall Ferguson. After rewatching a documentary on the Medici family and their banking system I figured I’d give this a try. It’s so fucking dry though, its like reading a text book so far.

My Job has a lot of downtime, so I recently started Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter in preparation for the movie. I have actually been pleasantly surprised so far! Very descriptive and stylish, and I like the way it throws it into the “real world”

I know I plugged it a few episodes ago with SG Browne, but his novel Lucky Bastard was amazing. I loved it.

Just ordered the Scary Stories Almanac from Amazon. I cannot wait for these. The art in the books scared the hell out of me when I was younger.

Anyone remember these books? Scared the hell out of me as a child (the art anyways). The arts recently been changed and is now just silly. Found it for $10 on Amazon!
Oh the memories.

Trying to read Orson Scott Card’s Hidden Empire, but it’s sooo effing right wing and so is he. I was really hoping I could see past it, but I’m think I’m going to have to give it up.

Michael Crichton was the best. Sphere, Rising Sun, State of Fear, Jurassic Park….plus most of his others were all awesome. Harlan Coben’s Myron Bolitar series is great. Daniel Suarez’s Daemon is so so good! Greg Iles is also really good.
