if that thing at the end turns out to be Fin Fang Foom i might sock whoever is sitting next to me in the face out of sheer excitement.

That metal thing from Transfomers 3? Fuck that. That’s like saying you’d be happy that Galactus was a cloud. Fin Fang Foom is a dragon. Not a Transformer.

i usually could care less about spoilers, but that Japanese trailer really ruined a key moment for me.

    thanks again Geekscape, jerk.

was awesome as all hell though.

Okay, saw the Avengers movie earlier today and it’s really funny and it’s fun! You have to stay after the credits as usual.

I remember there being a thing about casting this movie on the last Geekscape site? ._. Was that serious or were you just saying who you wanted in the film?

We were just saying who we wanted in the film. It’s still on this site if you do a search. All of the old articles are.

This was definitely a fun film. I wasn’t that overly excited (It’s no Piranha 3DD) for it but I still had high expectations and it fulfilled every expectation for me.

I saw it without 3D and it was excellent. I want to go see it in 3D now just to capture the nuances I missed the first time around. I’m not ready for Avengers 2 yet. I read that Iron Man 3, Thor 2, and Cap 2 will jump into Avengers 2, so what does that mean really? And Joss Wheadon to be directing again? That would be awesome if he does return!!

okay, I just finished listening to Jonathan and Ian talk about the Avengers and I got a few criticisms about it.
Jonathan, stop always trying to be funny!! This is Ian talking, man! Shut the fuck up!! Let the man talk!
Also, not all of us are movie people to the extent that you are Jonathan!! Sheesh, cease the fucking camera
panning and dolly shots of this and that!! I swear the next time I see you, I’m gonna grab your ball sack & squeeze
    until you vomit, Jonathan!!

Outstanding conversation by two considerably intense comic book geek giants! Great discussion!! I only wish it was done live
and we could chat with you guys somehow in an interactive forum.

This morning when I went on the bus to school one of the people on the bus talked about it non-stop on the way there. Same thing on the way back home. I tried not to listen too much ’cause of spoilers but he’s so loud it makes it pretty hard.. o.O

Omar threatening to squeeze my nuts until I puke is why we DON’T do Geekscape live. Geekscape brings out the crazy (and closeted rage gays).

spent the whole day at work fielding Avengers related questions from my coworkers. most productive i’ve felt in a while.

  • May 8, 2012 at 2:18 pm

Squeezing your nuts until you puke is how I show my love, Jonathan! hahahahahahahahahahah

  • May 10, 2012 at 6:32 am

Saw the movie and loved it. But one thing about what Ian was saying about the scepter controlling them at one point, and no one mentioning it. Aren’t you guys constantly saying movies are a visual media, show us don’t tell us. Isn’t that a prime example of showing and not telling. I mean they flipped over the dam thing and shot through it like a window at one point.

Are you always a smart ass? Nope, sometimes I’m asleep.

And what did it clearly convey? WHAT DID IT CLEARLY CONVEY!?!!?!

So the professor from Thor KNEW he was under Loki’s spell… but still had the autonomy to consciously build in a back door fail safe to the device? What’s going on here…?

  • May 10, 2012 at 1:08 pm

Loki told him to build in the back door in case the deal with Annihilus went south. Loki didn’t tell him to tell anybody about it though.
