    Any players frequent the forums?

Love the game, and would love a place to chat about it as well!

I play, although not lately since I don’t have any friends in Texas. But I’m still pretty new to it, I’ve only been playing about a year and am still learning.

Why is there no love for Magic? Anyway I got 90 2013 cards for free! And a cardboard hat! Along with some limited cards they gave out for signing up on facebook. It was awesome. Now if I can just get over being socially awkward and actually go play with other people I’ll be good.

That’s pretty cool! How did you end up with all that?

Been playing Duels of the Planeswalkers on the iPad a lot lately, as I’ve been too busy to set up a Magic night. That game was absolutely meant for touch screens.

They gave out a free 30 card deck every time you went in and played a game, so I did it three days in a row. It helped that they were open till 10 too. I played the demo, pretty cool. I should get the demo and or game as I have no one to play with here sadly. Although there is this cool free program Cockatrice that lets you play online for free with whatever deck you want. But I only used that once with a friend back home.

    Sweet!

Yeah Cockatrice is intriguing but doesn’t keep track of a lot of stuff as far as I’m aware. If there game is going to be super manual I’d rather use the paper cards :P Though it can sometimes be hard to find players. The place where I live luckily has a pretty steady community.

DotP is really fun, and is definitely a good introduction to the series. Magic Online also seems pretty cool, though it’s ugly as sin and I’m a Mac user and don’t want to have to reboot and play.

It does keep track of anything. But considering it’s free, and a way to play online and you can make pretty any deck you want, whether it be a dream deck or a deck you have it pretty cool. But yes the in person real life cards are better. My problem is that I am very shy, so I have yet to play with someone I didn’t already know.

I’m trying to get back into the game. I used to run a pretty solid elf deck back in the day, but played a little too easy after a while. I think I want to go blue, but multi-color decks are the fashion now. Any suggestions besides Blue/Black faeries?

I still typically use mono myself! Everything just works so well together with a single colour! (unless drafting/sealed of course)

White/Angels are crazy right now with the Avacyn Restored set – my big deck right now is a green aggro that mostly just came back into standard.Things like Ant Queen and Rampaging Baloths can be insane when you get them out quick with Arbor/Llanowar Elves.

I have a few decks I like. I really want an all cat deck, so I love collecting cat cards. I do have a multi-colored deck, but I only used it once…. so much going with those. But I should try it again as there are some kickass multi-colored cards. Right now I’m playing a blue/black zombie deck.
