Bob Hoskins Has Died At 71

Briefly: Actor Bob Hoskins has died of pneumonia at age 71.

The actor, who retired in 2012 after being diagnosed with Parkison’s disease, died in hospital surrounded by his family.

The actor most recently starred in 2012’s Snow White and the Huntsmen, but was best known for his roles in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and he also played Mario in Super Mario Bros.

In a statement to the media, his wife Linda, and children Alex, Sarah, Rosa and Jack said that “We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Bob.” and that “We ask that you respect our privacy during this time and thank you for your messages of love and support.”
